Arg! Forgot to cancel WoW trial. Anything I can do?

CAGiversary!
I'm out $14.99 now because I forgot to cancel my World of Warcraft trial (and they force you to enter your credit card when you sign up!!#@!#). I barely even played it and have no intention of playing it again. I tried emailing billing, but they said there are no refunds. Do I have any options that can get my money back? (I'm really broke!)

I'd say dispute with your credit card company using the unauthorized transaction arguement.

A good idea if you want to continue playing WoW is to use a prepaid debit card (Mastercard/Visa) and use it only for paying the monthly subscription fee.

It's not unauthorized though... it clearly states in the terms that if he dosen't cancel after the 7 days he is authorizing them to do a charge for a full month because he wants to keep playing.

It would be different if he cancelled and *then* got charged, but for all intents and purposes he authorized this by not cancelling.

Yep, you are just going to have to eat the 15 bones OP.

Um, when I went through the free trial for my mom, it said that it automatically cancels at the end of the trial.

After the trial is done, you NEED to buy a new box to continue playing.

Billing said there's no refunds cause they dont give back the nothing you paid.

Check your statement before you freak.

huh? you can't keep playing after the trial unless you have activated the retail version of the game. Are you talking about the free month?

I guess I was calling the free month the free trial. Sounds like I'm out of luck though. Any chance I could at least sell my remaining subscription to another player at a discount?
you could do that, but remember to remove all your info from your account and stuff like that
You're talking about selling the account then. I don't know if anyone would even buy it if you only played it for one month.

wait, so you bought the game and entered in your info and let it go past the included month? dl'ing the trial and buying the game are totally different. did you ever enter a cd-key?
CAll them? I know M$ refunds you.
not they don't. MS fucked me over about 3 times renewing my Xbox live because they said I called late because of a time zone difference.

Isn't Microsoft HQ in Washington? That's bs

Disputing with your credit card company is really boardering on fraud. You overlooked part of what you agreed to/forgot to handle your business on time. So this is pretty much on you OP. You can try again to plead your case with the company, but if they say no then eat the $15.

Ah, just pony up. It was your mistake for not canceling before the trial ended--if you didn't play it very much that should've been taken care of right away...

It's $15 dollars. Suck it up and remember next time. It's not that hard to cancel. Just go to the website and select cancel. That's what I did my first month when I got the game and wasn't really sure if I wanted to continue. Actually did it the day after I activated my account so I wouldn't have to worry about it later. It's not like MS where you have to call them and wait half an hour on hold and have them try to get you to keep your sub to live.

Really? I called 2 days late once and was refunded.
