I found out about this game when I was reading my GFW mag and I just had to look it up. I downloaded the demo and it is pure awesomeness. I just can't stop playing it.

However, I am not sure about buying the full game. It is 30 dollars and E-tail only, I would like to support the developer, however I just don't like paying more then $10 for something that is E-tail only.

So have any other CAGs played this game? Did you buy it? Was it worth the money?

I've fallen in love with digital distribution. But I've only ever used Steam.

There are issues and complaints about DD (reselling and lack of clearance do to overstock being the two major ones) but it's mostly painless and you don't need to worry about CD keys and needing to have the CD in the tray just to play the game.

As for price, I'm happy as long as I feel that I'm getting a good deal. $45 for the Orange Box? Hell yeah! $9 bucks for Audiosurf? ..... Sure! $40 for Civ4? Naw.

Yeah reading it on the last two GFW has me interested as well but knowing my "dedication" to these type of games it'll probably be a waste of money for me.

I'll try the demo later and we'll see! :)

Glad to see there is another Audiosurf fan. ;)

Also I agree about DD, it is mighty handy. However the whole reason I buy games, is that I like to have them in my collection. Suddenly when there is no box it feels like I could have torrented it for free.

Yeah, I read about this game a few months ago in GFW's Freeloader column (I think), and I do want to get around to playing it once I have some time.

As for digital distribution, I can definitely see both sides. I love to have the actual disks in my collection, but if the e-tailer lets you download it as many times as you want (in case your hard drive crashes or something), that's cool too. $30 is a bit steep for an e-tail only game though.
