And is the young girl the same actress as Season 1? She looks different - and HOT!
Alia Shawkat has been Maeby all three seasons.
It couldn't pull in the ratings when sandwiched in between the Simpsons and Family Guy either. While Fox probably could have done a better job with it, they DID give it a chance. It was America that didn't. It is indeed a shame.
So true. It's really easy to go off on FOX about this, but I think they gave the show plenty of opportunities. They seemed to recognize that they had a fresh, well-written (understatement of the year, likely), and hilarious program in their hands--it's not like they didn't try. There was plenty of advertising, and for a long time, it seemed like Jason Bateman was on every late-night talk show every other week.
I blame the public for not appreciating any sort of quality anymore--if it's not reality TV or spoon-fed comedy, nobody seems interested. FOX can only pump so much money into a sinking ship before they give up.
It just really sucks when something this good fails, and nobody can seem to offer any sound justification as to why.
Anyway, buy the DVDs. Buy multiple copies.

I'm trying to decide which line from Tobias in the latest episode is funnier:

"Oh really? Have sex with this girl right now. Come on, have some sex with her!"

or

"Do you want a man or a boy? I know what I'd choose."

I got home from work a few minutes ago and found a box from Amazon.com! Opened it up and was ecstatic that it was my Arrested Development DVD's. Thanks OP for sharing this deal with us!
got my DVD's today. only thing i found odd was that the season 2 set was in a white packaging rather then a orange.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...621454?v=glance&n=130&n=507846&s=dvd&v=glance

Also there is no back cover credits like on most TV sets rather just another group photo...not a big deal just took me back a bit. Anybody else getting that?
Hmm, sounds like you're missing the orange cover slipcoverish thing. I wonder how that happened...I've never seen a Season 2 without it.
was it wrapped in plastic though? even if u dont have the slip cover.
Yes it does help and yes it was in plastic. I'm not exactly sure what to do. I was at Meijers today and the retail boxes have the orange cover. Do you guys think it would be a good idea to e-mail amazon. I have already watched them but maybe I could get a credit?
same situation here
The white looks like what is under the orange cover. I got the orange cover on mine. I have noticed that sometimes they release future printings of DVDs without the plastic covers sometimes. I have only noticed this with single movies though....never on sets.

I few people at DVDtalk have been saying they haven;t gotten any slipcover either. I wish I wasn't so picky about those things. I haven't got more order yet, but I hope I get the slipcover. It looks nicer than just the white cover.

The DVD has only been out for barely two months, usually they wait a little longer to stop producing that. You're right I've never them do that on sets.

The single disc Family Guy movie still seems to be getting slipcovers, and that came out in Sept before AD.

It's strange you guys aren't getting slip covers for season 2.
I watch this show on DVD so much that the slip cover gets annoying.

someone at dvdtalk said they contacted FOX and were able to get a slipcover for free : Fox Home Entertainment Hours of Operation (PST): M-F 8AM-5PM

I was wondering if this was still going on. I ordered it for my brother for christmas. I just got Season 2 from CC for $12.99 and i need Season 1. Oh well, i'll get it eventually.

has anyone had sucess with this?

I was going to order this for my brother for Christmas, but it looks like the discount is taken off of $51.94 now. Unless I'm doing something wrong...

I checked yesterday and it was still there. Maybe ended today? Anyways, fricking UPS...its taking them 3 days to move my shipment 80 fricking miles...pisses me off...

I'll get my DVDs tomorrow and I'll have to check if I got the orange cover...and call FOX home video if I didn't
