Okay, this isn't really a deal, but this seemed like the best forum.

On the third disc episode during either episode "Whistler's Mother" or "Not Without My Daughter" (I forget which) the FOX "Broadcast in Widescreen HD" banner is flashed. What the hell is up with that? Is that something that anyone else gets with their sets? Was it a pressing error with the Wal-Mart bargin bin shipper sets? Does anyone know if FOX offers replacement discs?

I hate to be anal, but it's fucking annoying.

That's completely normal. AD was shot in HD. I don't know why it came up in the dvd set, but they're all like that.

Like munch said, it's normal. Every season 1 set has the banners on those episodes.
I guess Fox couldn't find episodes without those banners in time for the DVD release.

It only showed up on the one episode which is why I thought it was really weird. It's bullshit, but I'm glad I'm not the only one. :whistle2:D

Thanks guys.

Oh yeah, that is standard for some reason. Very strange... When I was first watching it, I didn't even realize that was happening, and then I saw it and I was like "What the fuck!?" Yeah, it's bullshit, but it's kind of funny.

Quite frankly, I think FOX forgetting to take those out is very Arrested Development-esque in and of itself, right? ;)

It's not that they forgot to take them off, they added them. Video gets sumbitted to networks clean.
