I have finished about 60% of the game thus far. I really like the the setting and the general plot. However, Connor is a whiny little punk. I do not enjoy playing as him. I normally watch the cut scenes, but I have skipped a few recently. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel the same way?
 
I've been playing AC3 all weekend and I was just thinking yesterday that Connor is the worst main character in a game that I've played.

I agree. He is a horrible protagonist.

The pirate is Connor's grandfather.

I actually like Connor but didn't like Ezio until Revelations.
 
Personally I think Ezio was the best. He was lively, but not to the point of being obnoxious. Altair was a stoic badass, but he was way too vague and too glour to be compelling. Connor feels sort of like a return to Altair, which confuses me, because I thought Ubisoft created Ezio specifically to address complaints about how uninteresting Altair was. Lesson not learned I suppose, though Connor has at least one up on Altair in my opinion by having an interesting backstory.
 
I also hated Connor. Ezio and Haytham were the best. I couldn't possibly have liked Haytham more than I did. He was just such a fucking badass.
 
Ezio and Haytham were great and had personalities then Ezio is replaced by some emo indian dude who shuns the master who trained him how to be a badass. fuck em I've never rooted for the templars before until this game

I'm on sequence 10. I agree Haytham is a badass. I am looking forward to discovering how everything unfolds. The story is intriguing, but damn Connor is annoying.
 
I'm finished with the game. I received my plat today. Overall the game is great. However, my opinion of Connor did not change. I still believe he is the worst Assassin yet.
 
I've been doing all the side mission stuff. I've just about completed every trophy except for the main story mission ones.

I tried the multiplayer, but didn't like it that much. Not sure if I'm going to go for the plat or not.
