ATLUS---3D Dot Game Heroes PRE-ORDER 36.99

Pre-ordered anyway. It is an ATLUS game after all. Apparently Demon Soul's was tough to get and I lucked out with that one. I definitely dont wanna miss a Zelda clone, this looks like it will be something to fulfill my classic needs!

Like old Zelda clone? Or new? I don't really like the new Zelda games. At least not since Wind Waker.

It sounds/looks neat, and Atlus priced it at the old Playtation price, which for me was always more of an impulse purchase (NEVER do that with $50, let alone $60...)

Seems more like an old Zelda clone.

I pre-ordered this at GameStop yesterday with the trade games for $20. At first I wasn't interested in it due to the graphics, they weren't bad but looked annoying to me. Then I saw some gameplay videos and noticed it was old school Zelda, reminded me most of LttP (SNES Zelda) and was instantly sold.

It looks like the original Zelda.
Publisher dictates MSRP so the slow clap was appropriate
They were referring to the OP saying it was made by the same people who made Demon's Souls, not the price.
Atlus isn't a Developer, they are translators and publishers.
Both actually. Atus developed the Shin Megami Tensei games.

I really hope they put out a demo for this game... I'm not entirely sold on it though it does look cool. Too bad there's no special edition.
Slow clap referenced two other sites with same price

and atlus does develop as well as publish just not as often
Yeah, Atlus developed all, or neatly all AFAIK, of the SMT and Persona games. They also developed all the Ogre Battle games.

I love when someone says "...game by Atlus!!" and then someone else rushes to correct them with, "Atlus is a publisher, not a developer." Seems to happen in every Atlus-related thread. : D

I'll probably be picking this up.

Thanks! This is so mine! After all the reminiscing and complaining us hardcores do about wanting to see more games in vein of 8/16 bit eras its nothing short of embarrassing at this price if this isnt a hit title. Day One is as far as my cheap ass is waiting!

I'll definitely preorder this, but I'm going to wait a bit longer to see if any better deals come out. Thanks for the heads-up.

I'd really like a demo long BEFORE the game comes out so I can get an idea what it is. Thumbs up to the more reasonable launch pricing, and thumbs up to the weird/fun graphics, but...

joystiq said it was a budget title for 39.99. Seems like you're getting a bit of a discount for ordering early.

From what I hear from the import players, it's really fun. it's basically Zelda: A Link to the Past, but without the actually Zelda universe. Well... most of the universe... you still can get attacked by chickens.

Okay, that sounds promising! I don't actually like the recent Zelda games, but something emulating an older one could be awesome!

Maybe they should rename it Lego RPG to boost sales in the US since this is probably going to be another niche title. I'm definitely getting one though. This is right up my alley.
