"Atlus Dissolved by Owners"

"Index Holdings has dissolved Atlus Games in order to streamline the company and turn its focus to “profitable core areas,” according to Gamasutra. Atlus will most likely complete the projects that are currently in progress, but the ultimate fate of the company is unknown for now."

Atlus will still exist, the company, which is already owned by Index holding, will absorb the company.

They will still operate under Atlus and the Atlus name will still exist. The only difference is that you can't buy Atlus stock.

Yup, nothing to worry about. Eurogamer posted the story yesterday then quickly amended it.

I normally wouldn't care because I am not much of a Japanese gamer, but after Demon's Souls I'd follow Atlus any where.

From Software developed it and Sony published it in Japan

and that game is a huge anomaly in their catalog and is about 1000x better than pretty much every Atlus game.

yea i read this story awhile ago, knowing that atlus would still operate normally.

I wonder who was the idiot journalist that saw this yesterday as atlus ceasing to exist. they should be beaten with a wooden cane.

I know they published it, but that one game made me a fan instantly of Atlus.

I had a similar experience but it was with Persona 3 :lol: Anyway, I'm glad that Atlus won't be going away anytime soon
