A friend and I made a bet about RPGs for the N64. He says there was never a turn based RPG (In english, not a Japanese import) for the Nintendo 64. I say there had to be one. Could someone please tell me of one and I'd be super greatful!

Thanks for your time

Quest 64 is turned-based, but you don't just stand around like most other turn-based RPGs. Also, it was made by THQ, so you are win!

w00t! I'm gonna try to say double or nothing now that I know of 2 games! Thanks, hopefully he pays up my $10. I'll probably get something from the Circuit City sale
I wouldn't call quest 64 a turn based game.

Paper Mario definitely was though.
These days, we've come to demand fast-paced action from an RPG's combat system. Aside from some problems with view, Quest 64's turn-based combat control is terrific. It's smooth, simple, and easy to learn. The game makes great use of the C-buttons as the four elements, which correspond to four separate schools of magic, with ten-plus spells in each once you gain some experience, all available with a minimum of button pushing.

To sum it all up we have:

Orge Battle
Hybrid Heaven
Quest 64
Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage
Paper Mario

Congratulations! You have won the bet!
