Does anyone know of a free (or pirateable, did i say that?) program that i can rip edit audio files? i want to at the least cut clips out and stuff, but what i really want to do (i am not sure if i can do this) with .mp3's is to be able to rip the lyrics off sounds and just take the beats, or parts of the beats, are there any programs that will separate the beats, and sounds, and lyrics and is able to take parts out? let me know i am doing a lot of video projects that would be 10x cooler if i could do those things.

Audacity is an open source audio editor that works basically like Adobe Audition.

If you just want the beats to the song, just invert the channels in Audacity.

where can i get that?

nvm i found it, lets see if i can figure out how to work it

update, seems pretty user friendly as far as clipping and editing, can you tell me how to separate beats and lyrics? thanks

Seperating beats and lyrics is virtually impossible given the nature of CD audio. Essentially, the studio people combine all the instrumental and lyrical channels. Thus, when you rip a CD, you'll be getting it all in the "combined" channel. I can't go into much detail (try Wikipedia if you're curious) but suffice it to say that what you want to do can't really be done :(
