Avatar The Last Airbender Book 1 Collector's Edition DVD pre-order - $26.99

Nice, but I got the original box set when BB had the price error. It's too bad book 3 is never on sale. Guess I'll have to wait for book 3 CE and hope amazon does a deal on it.

exactly, this show was classic but I have the 3 books (got my first at BB as well with price error) and I won't double dip for anything but BR.

Problem is like all SD shows I don't think there is an HD master in existence.
 
put in a preorder... dunno if I'll keep it or not... the main reason I put one in is that it seems like amazon puts up a lot of anime preorders cheaper when they first go up and the price goes up closer to release...

one thing tho... is this show only dubbed? never been a big fan of dubs.

It's an american show not an anime so it's supposed to be in english.

ah.. I guess what was throwing me was that amazon had it listed as dubbed.
 
I already have the standard edition but I'll preorder this for now and decide if I want it later. Thanks for sharing op, Avatar TLA is an amazing series.
 
I want this on blu ray, but it doesn't seem like they are going to do it any time soon. I went ahead and pre ordered. Thanks OP for the heads up!
 
In for one! I loved watching this series with my kids and I'd always wanted to get it on DVD. I was hoping they'd release a "complete series" set but they never did. This looks like the next best thing, I guess (what with the bonus content). I've got a 2yo now, so I'll get to watch them all over again anyway!

Bluray would be nice, but I'll be satisfied if they just release a CE for the rest of the books...

Bluray would be nice although I doubt there is a hd master. What would be even better would be for them to finally release an OST!!!

After preordering Book 1 CE, this "Avatar: The Last Airbender (The Art of the Animated Series)" popped up in my goldbox: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1595825045/ I'm going to be picking that up as well.
 
I've already shelled out dough for the three sets...but that extra book packed in with art and storyboards is making me think about double-dipping.
 
Thanks for the post. I didn't know they were re-releasing the series. I have been waiting for the series to drop in price a bit but will jump on board for the pre-order. Avatar is about the only anime I have ever liked probably because its western.
