The great thing about getting these awesome headphones is that when I wear them I WON'T BE ABLE TO HEAR YOU PEOPLE BITCHING.

You people are honestly amazing. I can understand people saying the game was mediocre or average, but to say it was down right horrible? Can someone say dramatic?

Horrible is Superman 64. Horrible is Big Rigs. Horrible are the various Barbie/Petz/Babyz games. Horrible is Aquaman. Horrible is Drake of the 99 Dragons. THOSE are horrible.

Besides, most of you are mentioning the controls, which was already confirmed to be fixed.

God this thread is awful. Seriously, can't you take your pointless bickering over headphone quality elsewhere.
Actually, since I was born before 1990, I have the ability to look at an utterly original, mind-blowing game and not dump on it because of one shortcoming. As you get older, you'll learn that nothing is perfect, my man.
#-o... Thanks for making me feel really old...
Age doesn't matter, '84 here & it was still a horrible game.
And yeah, I still have a hard time thinking someone can be a grizzled old gaming vet when they were born when I was in fucking high school... ;).
I don't know if this is an image he stole off the web but this guy is serious about his auction images if he took this himself.

maybe Amazon will step up with a new rooster hat.
Hopefully Amazon will come through as that is where I already have it preordered. Even if they don't, though, this particular preorder bonus wouldn't get me to switch to GS - and I say that as someone who has GS credit to burn (but there are other advantages to my Amazon preorder...). Did Amazon have the rooster hat last time? I got mine from GS (luckily they held it for me as I know others had trouble).

It was cute and I took a few pictures of my 2 year-old wearing it. But then I realized I had two options for it from then on. 1) I could give it to the kids to play with but it would just get trashed and tossed in amongst the too many toys they already have. 2) I could put it away with the rest of my gaming swag that just ends up taking up room/making clutter.

So I chose option 3) Sell it on eBay for $35. After fees that pretty much neatly covered the cost of the game.

He made a cheap attempt at invalidating someone's view due to assuming he was born after 1990.

Not to mention I never said anything about me being a gaming vet so your input was really unnecessary here. I don't follow this hardcore/casual garbage, I play games for fun & that's what I'll continue to do.

Hilarious thread.

Scribblenauts was bad, like it or not. The controls were a joke and the game ceased to be fun once you started using wings to get around everywhere.

These headphones will be bad.

And to whoever enjoys Skullcandy headphones, enjoy your AXE and your acne cream as well.

It wasn't meant to be a comment on "hardcore/casual" at all (I'm not even sure how you extracted that meaning) - just a joke about how old I am. I'm sorry that you didn't get that. And my "input" is just about as useful and on topic as 95% of the rest of this thread. ;)

And hey, Tortilla, I am actually continuing to enjoy the free Axe shampoo that I got from Target nearly a year ago, thank you very much ;). Remember the coupons for free bottles that had MS points codes on them? Anyway, I'm only on my second bottle (and that is with daily and sometimes twice daily showers) and have several more in storage. But yeah, I'd never actually buy the stuff...

As for the game, I enjoyed it for a bit, though I admit I never got into solving very many of the puzzles. The controls, of course, bugged me. But it was fun simply thinking of things to type in and seeing what happened. It was worth it for that alone but I'm glad the sequel seems to have addressed the major issues - and clearly that is why I preordered it. I'm hoping this one combines the unique concept and scope of the original with some more compelling gameplay.
Haha, I went zip-lining the other day and when getting my harness and helmet the guy giving out the equipment like just stopped and was like... He gave me the L/XL helmet and it was not even close to fitting. He gave me a completely different style of helmet than the others and was like this should work... and it still didnt. He just stared in astonishment and was like.. this is the biggest helmet we have...

After fiddling with it for a while we got it to fit however.

Neat story I know. But yeah those look cool but I would have no use for them unless they somehow had AMAZING quality.
Your poor mother.:whistle2:#
Well it's obvious you're indeed a troll. Skullcandy headphones are great for their price.
No, they are not great for their price. Not even close.
ok there zippy. I think Koss as a brand sucks. Don't have a aneurysm over it.

I'm sure Kias as cars are great for their price range. You won't spot me in one.
Your loss, the Koss KSC75s are some of the best sounding phones south of the 20 dollar border. The KSC and portapro line are probably the only good thing to come from Koss however.
#-o... Thanks for making me feel really old...

Don't feel bad, io. I was actually in college in 1990. I just used that as an example for when kids collective attitudes generally went to hell. It makes no difference if someone was born in 1984 or 1904 if they still spout the raging nerd hyberbole that is so popular these days. To whit, "I did not particularly care for something, there it is UTTER PUTRID GARBAGE AND IT'S VERY EXISTENCE CAUSES ME PAAAAAINNNNN!!!!"

Scribblenauts was a high concept piece, and it deserves mad respect for what they got right. It was far, FAR from perfect. But they made some magic there. The younger set doesn't realize that progress comes in fits and starts. You don't achieve perfection out of the gate. Scribblenauts was a very exciting step in the right direction.

Had a friend get her b/f some Skullcandy headphones. I don't know much about headphones but to me they always looked like their obvious selling point was that they look "cool" (they don't usually look cool, either). After looking into them, I found out that is about all there is to it.

Tried not to be an ass about the headphones when he showed them to me all excited. Wanted to say they probably suck but instead just smiled and nodded.

Another OT post, brought to you by your friendly neighborhood GrilledWitOnions.

I use a pair of SC's for my everyday use. They're extremely comfortable, for being so relatively inexpensive, for my tiny ear canals. Good for working, jogging and weightlifting. They're durable and long lasting as hell too as the current pair I'm on has been washed countless times. I wouldn't use them for hi-fi audio though. As for those two product lines being Koss' best, I'm pretty fond of my Koss Pro-4AA Studio headphones. They're too bulky for everyday use but they're the cleanest I've found, work with my two home audio recievers and are the best headphones I've ever used for tracking myself live during recording.

On-topic though, these will probably be as limited as the Rooster hat was, so even if I was interested, I wouldn't get my hopes up. They're cute but impractical. I'm happy to hear that Strell will be enjoying them though. ;)

ooooh this is awesome. I have the rooster hat from before, must get!

I find it curious that ppl are actually debating the quality of these headphone. It is a free bonus!

And yeah... head-fi. god, haven't log in for ages... like since 2004 :) (yea! my acct is still good! ah... checking my posts there, just reminded of my pen obsession back then :p )

Don't have an awesome phone myself, but I like my Audio-Technica A500 + my porta amp well enough that this will probably never be plug in.

Two things.

1. I can't believe how many people in this thread (presumably adult men) are raving about a chicken hat.

2. I want to see pictures of all these freakishly huge heads.

They are noise canceling headphones? Sweet! Off to pre-order!
Well it's obvious you're indeed a troll. Skullcandy headphones are great for their price.
Read what he said again.

I gotta say, some of these posts are a little ridiculous. Us older guys can remember when there was no such thing as bonuses or extras. And certainly not for free. We damn near peed our pants when a game came with a cloth map the size of a napkin, and they charge an extra ten bucks for it.

Lighten up, man. Your know you're not gonna actually use these headphones. Its just a neat little bonus. Chill.

Hey does anyone know if they added d-pad movement now? That's the main reason I stopped playing the original. I got tired of how awkward it was to tap to move.

I appreciate my music enough not to insult the artists by wearing $20 headphones.

They absolutely need to fix that before i buy Scribblenauts 2. The dpad is RIGHT THERE. USE IT!
Well it's obvious you're indeed a troll. Skullcandy headphones are great for their price.
no... they really aren't.

Anyone else notice that I don't think many people are actually talking about the bonus headphones - and those that do say they will probably suck but no big deal - but there have been a ton of posts talking about people talking about the headphones?
I appreciate my music enough not to insult the artists by wearing $20 headphones.
So all the users on headfi who wear KSC75s and portapros for portable use are insulting the artists? These are the same people who wouldn't hesitate to spend 400 dollars on a pair of cans either.

You can wear and listen to your music however you want.

I wear shitty earbuds to the gym because i sweat and i don't really care. But if I really am listening to music, I don't wear my shitty nike headphones or the apple ones. You know why? Cause you get what you pay for.

I'm not saying I can tell the difference between $400 ones and $1000 ones, so that would be a waste of money (for me). But i certainly can tell the difference between $20 and $400.

If Koss's are ok with you, god bless.

The Amazon listing states that D-pad is usable in this game.

 • Improved Controls - Use the D-pad or Stylus controls
It most likely will have D-pad controls as well, since it was the number one reason people didn't like the first game, if not the only reason.

This is a good preorder bonus, in for one.
I don't know how you could tell the difference considering your Gucci rhymes already sound like shit.
umm no... i bump everybody.

If you have actually hear the koss portapro, they are very decent independent of its price.

While price is a pretty decent indicator of quality, there are exceptions such as the portapro from koss... much like the offering from... bose... ;/

But anyway, even among the more expensive cans, it is still all up to individual because they all differ in reproducing sound and as most would say on hed-fi, garbage in, garbage out. If your source is an ipod/iphone, who the hell care what you put on your head.

Updated the thread with the pic of the polka-dot headphones.

Edit: Decided to host the pics myself since they were really too big from GS's website.
