AWESOMMMMMMEEE!!!!!

I doubt we'll see it in the US from Square considering how severely underpromoted the last Dragon Warrior title was, not to mention their withdrawing of the promised PS1 remake of DW IV and other that have never been seen here. (Enix really, since DQ/DW was an Enix series before the merger.)

Perhaps Radica could be convince to pick it up as part of their TV Games line of similar products:

This has been out for quite a while hasn't it?...

On a side note, I'm very disappointed in you deadzone, where the hell are the cold cuts in your new avatar pic?!....
Holy shit!!! I hope this comes stateside.. which is doubtful.. but I don't have a modded PS2.
Doesn't require a console of any sort. As stated on the page:

Which console are you asking? Well, that’s the trick. None. It direct-plugs into your Television set!

The game is stored in the "Crest Unit", which connects directly to TV. A sword controller is attached to the system, which is used to attack the enemies on screen.

Ive heard that the reason that DW IV is not going to be released here is because the team working on the translation quit, and Enix decided not to finish translating the game.

Oh, please tell me that this is just a rumor. No DWIV would break my heart.

It's been given up for dead for many months now. It no longer appears on the Square-Enix site. For that matter you have to dig to find anything about Dragon Warrior at all. They acknowledge the games they've published on PS1 and GBC but nothing in regard tot he future.

Part of the problem is that DW VII did lousy business in the US, at least compared to what Square is used to seeing from even bad and mediocre PS2 releases. It was simply too late for a major PS1 release not tied to a big movie and they'd let the series lie fallow in the US market so long much of the customer base had no experience with it unless they saw the GBC versions of NES games. Not a great promotional tool after this much time has passed. Worse, the series has always been on the low tech side so DW VII was a bit lacking visually for a PS1 game for audiences not drawn by the name. Further, they didn't even seem to realize the Dragonball was just getting big in the US and they could have pushed the ti-in with the artist.

I think the only hope for DW IV is as a GBA release if they can get the ball rolling again. DW V is being remade as a PS2 title with updated graphics, so we might get that.

im a dragon warriors fan, but not of this sword thing. it looks pretty lame, unless you got friends over and your stoned. then thats another fun trip
