I posted in the request forums for the best deal on a 360 guitar hero/ rockband guitar, to no avail. Now I'll ask on here which is the best one to pick up? Is the Les Paul better than the Xplorer, etc, etc and which is best for both games?

I like the Les Paul the best. But the World Tour guitar isn't bad either. Just make sure you get a good connection at the neck on those. The explorer isn't bad. The back and start buttons aren't well placed though.
 
I'll take the Rock Band 2 Strat. Really like the non-raised frets and the fact that it's a little bigger is nice too. Took a day or two to get used to the non-click noise strum bar, but now it feels a lot more comfortable than the GH3 guitar. It's hard to go back.

Just avoid the Rock Band 1 Strat...not as good as the successor.

I couldn't believe how much of a difference there was between the RB1 strat and the RB2 strat.
 
Thanks for all the replies, I went with the wired Xplorer (19.99), (no Les paul in stock, only bundled), since I still had my 25$ GC from TRU (for buying RB2 back in Dec) and a 5$ off coupon (Bday coupon) as well so I also picked up Samba di Amigo for the Wii for a grand total of 2.xx with my GC and coupon!
