I went there just a couple of minutes ago to pick up my copy of Phantom Dust and saw the clerk was hanging up signs all over the store saying that they're starting the Buy 2 Get 1 used games deal again. Dont know if this is nation wide so you should call ahead to see if your store is doing the same thing.

Man I hope so. I've been wating for GS to run this deal again. I always find better games at GS's in my area as opposed to EB's around here. I remember one time last year when they did this and I got Rez, MvC2 (XB), and SO3. All complete and mint.
 
My local GameStops are having this promotion as well. I know, because I just called both locations in my area a minute ago. :D
 
I was at gamestop this wednesday and no sign of this promo.

I'll probably go again this weekend and get 3 more tradeins for a psp game ;)

one of my gamestop have 3 of them complete/mint, all used. Do you think they let me take all three?
 
Definitely take advantage of this deal, especially if you're doing the 3 for $10 bonus.

They have pretty reasonable prices on their used games, especially for older Greatest Hits and Platinum Hits titles. You can usually find those for $10 or less.
 
I drop by gamestop today, what I got.

After that, I went to mall to pay my cell bill. Decided to drop by ebgames. Someone was trading a xbox with 2 controller and 7 games for $85 cash. I offered the guy $100, he took it. The store manager told us to take it outside and I did. :)

okay. i'm set on games for a while. No more purchases for a few months

But I didnt see the sign for the near CC in the Staten Island area though.
 
Does anyone know if you have to get all your stuff from 1 platform?

I remember a while back where I tried to get 2 xbox games and then a playstation 2 game, but the guy said i couldnt do that. Any help would be appreciated

No, you can mix-and-match. There isn't a requirement that you have to get all your games on one platform. The employee was BS'ing you.

Nope, at my GS you can mix and match. Got 1 Xbox game and 2 GC games last time the deal was going on.

The couple in front of me was having trouble managing with the deal, so I wound up checking out before they returned to the register. But before they went back to searching for stuff, the clerk said that they could also get a pre-owned accessory. I don't know if that's actually true, but it's something to keep in mind and ask about at your store.

I got some decent stuff tonight, including a copy of Robot Alchemic Drive(!) and a "brand-used" Rallisport Challenge 2 (still totally factory-sealed but marked as Used to help it move out of the store), but I probably will wind up returning most of it if eBay goes my way these coming days. Hopefully there isn't too much hassle with returning parts of this B2G1F deal.
 
i'm really sorry to ask this, but i can't take it anymore.

i've tried for months to figure out that "B&M" and "YMMV" mean and can't do it...the best i've come up with is "your *blank* may vary".

could someone help me out please?

Also I tried to snag some stuff, but I could not find anything decent at the two stores I tried

You can even use the deal to get DVDS, too. I've bought a Cube and Xbox game and a DVD before.

It indeed ends on Easter, 4 days before my birthday, looks like I need to take $55 out of my savings account so I can stock up on games this time, I was so limited in cash when they had this deal in January.
 
Dunno if this is hot deal on used PS1 games. Just checking GS's website and they're much higher in comparison to EB. Are the used PS1 games cheaper @ GS BM store in comparison to their site?

As far as I know, Gamestop will take back any pre-owned game within 7 days with a reciept, for any reason. I have returned games I bought from different locations without a problem.

Yep, though I frown on this somewhat random policy on not being able to open the sealed used PSX games to see what I'm buying...
