[What sucks is I'm trying to convince my wife that a deal on another site, 145 bucks for 325$-390$ worth of anime dvd's is 'too good to pass up'. That's a harder sell, though.]

Ironic, this site named 'cheap ass gamer' is so expensive....

Well my suitemate called them up yesterday (and hence why he's refusing the order when it comes), and they only have it in their records as 1 of each item, which means they only shipped 1 of each, not 2, and so effectively he's paying the actual price of the items.
 
Regarding the double billing, I don't necessarily think it was due to the coupon codes. I placed an order for 2 copies of a game (each $1.99) and another 2 copies of a different game (also $1.99 each) and got charged $7.96 for each 2 copies (coming to a total of $15.92). I didn't use any coupons on this order.

Well, I called EB today and the guy I spoke to said that it was a mistake and they already corrected it and credited the extra $7.96 back to my credit card.

So, maybe there is some glitch in their system double-charging people.

It's hard to find deals on anime, apart from *occasionally* lucking out on Ebay or Half.com. The specific deal I'm talking about is Right Stuf International's weekly special this week; every disk of Cardcaptor Sakura for 11.49, MSRP 29.98, and two bargain bundles of disks 1-9 and 10-18 for 98.99 instead of 269.82. I've got disks 1-5, and I will not buy the bootleg version, but I can't see myself spending 25-30 bucks each for 15 more disks. Anime on dvd is certainly expensive, but it's a lot less expensive than it used to be on VHS. TRSI does have some very good deals occasionally; a while back I picked up all of Irresponsible Captain Tylor, TV and OVA, for about 80 bucks. Watched them all, then sold the OVA's [I didn't like them as much] for almost 50 on Half.com.
But yes, I don't have as many anime dvd's as I do regular dvd's or video games, because they definitely are not cheap, and some of them, you then get sucked into buying many many disks worth for a series. Thank goodness for Netflix. They don't have a lot of anime, but I have saved a bunch of money renting rather than buying.

No, order quantity is fine, and the correct amount charged to the card. I guess they just decided to split up the order for some reason. Do they have multiple shipping warehouses? Maybe that's it?

Hey thanks for updating that it was available again. I ordered mine just now. Good deal for $9.99 since I played the demo to death last year.
 
I've had that happen [multiple shipments] from lots of places. Odds are it's that, multiple warehouses, different stock levels, things like that.
Ifyou go to your cart and change the qty to some really high number, it'll give you an error saying 'You may only order this many.'

Both of mine said .98.
 
Well I think I'll just wait for the credit card statement. At first when the shipped the game my order status screen said 10.98, then a few days later it went back to .98. So i don't know which price they planned on charging.

My email confirmation said .98. I checked on the website though and my online banking and it said i got charged 10.98, so I called them up and they said theyd give me a $10 credit. A week later I checked the status on the eb paged and it got changed back to .98, my online banking says .98, but the receipt that came with the package says 10.98.
 
wtf dead again. I can't use my credit card until tomorrow. aaarrrrrrrrggggggg, hope it get back to 10 bucks soon.

If you're one of the 3 CAGers that haven't picked this game up yet, do it! Just got mine yesterday and can't put it down. The graphics are solid, gameplay is good, the story pretty cool. Definitely a good value at $9.99!
 
RYGAR is very good game (Can't wait for sequel coming soon in late 2005). Also, Most of place still sell this game $29.99 - $49.99

I pickup my copy long time ago $5 at Ebgames along with James Bond 007: Night Fire $5 :)

That's kind of bizarre, the way it keeps changing in price so often. I understand price changes, but this has changed what, 10 times in the last week?
 
I wanted to ordering when I first joined, but i keep seeing it at 9.99, so im like whatever ill get this game at 7.99. I finally decide I might as well just order it and now its 19.99 haha oh well
