Use the coupon "saver" for free ship like cheapasses should do.

limit 2 per customer

IF you have a gmr mag, you should be able to get a free dc if you order 3 used dc games $4.99 or moe and input the coupon id#(this will be different for each coupon) and use the code "freedc". I havent got a mag to test this out, but a dc for $10 shipped isnt bad at all, but a dc bundle with 3 games plus a system for $15(plus tax and shipping, cant get free ship AND use the "freedc" coupon i dont think) may be even better, but apparently that deal is B&M only(?)
I also heard that any DC will play CD-R's. It was a myth that got disproven not too long ago. So you should all have no worries as to if the DC you order will play CD-Rs.
nah this is not a myth. sega actually for a time put out dc's with no cdr support due to pirating. ive seen them in action

no, i seen some kid in gamecrazy play HIS own DC there, adn guess what type of games he had? they were ALL cd-rs... his DC wasnt even modded, and there wasnt a bootcd.. he just put it in and played it.. so yes you CAN play cd-r, ima talk to that kid see if i can get some more info

someone just pointed this out to me at gametz.com that there is a coupon in this months GMR mag that if you buy any 3 dc games, then you get a free dc.

I dont know if the code is "freedc" or not
yea u dont need a boot cd for most apps but still some dc's that dont play cd'rs do exist.
Here's the whole story:
In japan they had things called MIL-cd's which are equivlent to a cd-single with the video for it on the disc. They stopped support for the format on the later cd's, which killed one of the ways cd'rs were loaded...but most systems are able to read cd'rs, although some dc's are picker than others on which brand you use

I got one. No idea what games I'll play. For $10 I might just borrow a few from a buddy that has one. Chu-Chu Rocket is pretty good with 4 players.

Yeah, I'll probably head out to a ebgames or gamestop one day and get some more games and a second controller.

I went to gamestop.com just now, and a used DC costs $40!!!!!!! LMFAO

Well I seem to have missed it unless they are just getting hit hard. I really wanted to pick one up at that price, one of the only old systems I don't have.

Well that sucks. I was waiting for the Sale on the 7th figuring I could get one locally, but I doubt that, sucks that I missed out on the online copies (teaches me to not check again till lunch)

Yeah, I got in on the deal too. Don't know what I'll do with it but I've been missing the dreamcast ever since my brother moved out. Now I'll be able to play all those classics I missed out on.

Yes this is true, I had friends at work 2 years ago burning cracked Dreamcasts games on CD-R's. This is possible, just google it to get details. Cracked CD images of the games are probably all over Kazaa.

And here I spent $20 to get one from EB online last week.

Why are they giving away all these systems lately? Last week it was N64, now DC. What next, free PSOnes?

DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really wanted one, I've been waiting for ever for a sale and its sold out, great. If anyone knows where I can find one for a good deal, or has one they are willing to sell to me, let me know. My AIM is "Sylent Khaos"

from the dc-emu site under non-working dc's (as far as cd-rs):
"It has been determined all models, that were previously thought un-working, infact do work that were in this list. So this concludes that so far, all DC's work :)"

I'm staying up all night to see if they put it back up tommorrow mourning, if they do, I'l buy 2. Keeping one for my self and I'll sell the other one to someone on this site who also missed it last time (for $10 plus shipping of course).

I missed out too, no B&M Eb's around me have any either. Hopefully they will have some more in stock late tonight. Anyone have an idea of around what time?
ironically they cancelled my order. i will have to try to reorder another one. tomorrow morning.
If you can, hold one for me, I'll do the same for one (man I really want a Dreamcast).

I managed to get one early in the day. I skipped the Dreamcast and have only heard good things about it so I decided to get one.

Dreamcast
Memory Card
Jet Set Radio
Space Channel 5
Powerstone

Its always exciting to get a new console.

What sucks is that when i tried to do the buy 3 games for $15+ and get a free DC, I put in the code "freedc" and I got a message telling me that I need a personlized message. Man this really sucks. I'm staying up till I get one.

Wait is the 3 games for free DC deal going on in-store now? Or does that start the 7th like the $10 DC deal?

for all of you who missed out on the deal, I've got a dreamcast bundle for sale, with the following

DC
Dreamcast System Ver 1 (no box or manuals) w/Power Adapter and RFU Adapter (can't find the red white yellow cables)
2 First Party Dreamcast Controllers (no box or manuals
2 First Party VMU's (no box or manuals, saves fine, needs new batteries to play it outside)
Evolution: The World of Sacred Device
Sonic Adventure

I'd let it go for $30 shipped media mail (to keep the shipping costs low)

Nice, I thought that was the case. A bunch of coworkers in my IT department were bringing in spindles of 50 cd-r and leaving with 50 games. Nice way to spend your day at work I guess.

damn man, EB's site is acting really fruity. I managed to get a DC (!!!!), but i had to try to run my order through like a dozen times!!

I just put in my order for a console and the 4x mem card. Great deal, thanks CAG! Can't wait til it gets here so I can try all these games I've been hearing such good things about. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 here I come!!!

Where in the GMR Magazine do you find the Dreamcast deal? I have a subscription... What page of what month's issue? Please help me out guys!

i was in EBX (B&M) 2 days ago, i think i saw the coupon on one of the back pages(there was a whole page of just coupons)

The DC systems for $10 shipped is most likely going on all month now.

Thanks a lot Dracula, it must be the September issue which I have not received yet. I looked through each and every page of the July and August issues and they didn't have anything... Hopefully I'll get that issue today so I can pick one up.

LOL rabbitt, I'm in the same boat. I'm waiting as well, for both my mom, and my GMR! By the way Dracula, what was on the cover of the September issue?

What a deal, my friend wants this I know, I think I'll buy it for him and charge him $15 :p

*hugs working DC*
Man, I haven't played DC in a while....

Code....neeeded....must....get...code!

*grin* Seriously--thanks for posting this. Now if I can track down a code I can have my first crack at the Dreamcast (I've never played one--I know, shameful!)

Does anyone know where to get an LCD monitor for DC, if they exist?

For anyone who ordered a DC, you can get cheap peripherals at vglq.com. I dunno how reliable they are, and their shipping's expensive, but you still get good deals there if you buy more than one item.

I know lik-sang had a portable DC with LCD for awhile. Not sure if they stil do.

For those that emulate~ Is the DreamSnes the best SNES emu? And is they a way to burn it on a Mac?
