IF you have a gmr mag, you should be able to get a free dc if you order 3 used dc games $4.99 or moe and input the coupon id#(this will be different for each coupon) and use the code "freedc". I havent got a mag to test this out, but a dc for $10 shipped isnt bad at all, but a dc bundle with 3 games plus a system for $15(plus tax and shipping, cant get free ship AND use the "freedc" coupon i dont think) may be even better, but apparently that deal is B&M only(?)

yea, theres a dreamcast called a treamcast? i forgot that has a BUILT-IN moniter, ima get oen when i goto hong kong. must find one!!
 
i went to that website cdemulation, is that a webiste you have to download games from?do you need a dvd burner? I don't have one, anyone know where I can order the cd made already?
 
Oh man! I just got my GMR in the mail too! Ugh, well I'll wait 'til it goes back up again... Otherwise I can always get it in store...

You download the emulators from dcemulation, you're on your own as to finding game roms. Talk of finding comercial roms is forbiden on most message boards.

You need a cd or cd/dvd burner. The dreamcast can't read dvd-r,dvd-rw, or cd-rw. It can only read cd-r.

I don't have one, anyone know where I can order the cd made already?

Again, if you are looking for comercial roms to use with the emulators, don't ask for help from the public.

it is for the N64, and if you can find a Dreamcast, I'm sure it's good in-store too.
 
I missed it again, damn. Does anyone have an extra one? Will they post it agains (and if so what time do they post it cause I stayed up till 8:00 am central waiting for this).

I checked it at 10 min to 9am Central before I clocked in for work, and they had updated the main link with the new page. I know because I didn't get on the clock till a minute late or so because I was finishing the order process :wink:

Yea, could some one PM me the code as well for the 3 game $15+ and a free Dreamcast? It seems like I will never get the other deal for some reason.
 
for you guys who want codes for the coupon, i bet they have plenty of extra mags in the ebx store, and they will hook you up with a coupon most likely (if you ask them). Of course, your cashier may vary, some of the employees are cool and some are total asshats.

I may have an extra, I ordered 2 just in case one was doa or for some freak reasons didn't play cd-r's. PM me and I'll let you know when they arrive.
 
Would someone help me out with that dcemulation website? I don't know how to do any of the things on that site. All of that 'computer language' is gibberish to me.

I ordered mine yesterday morning & it shipped that evening. It usually takes EB at least a day to process orders, so I was surprised it shipped that quickly.

I think they had those things packed & ready to go.
 
Yeah, I wonder how many they have sold so far. It is a great way to clean house.

Gamestop should take note and change their price from $40 preowned to $10-15.

I got one ordered, but there was a problem with my card (they had the wrong exp. date) and now it is fixed, but they are out of stock!!! Now what?? I hope I still get the DC for $10......
 
I called the EB closest to me here (North Charleston, SC) and they didn't match the 10 dollar deal, but they were only 14.99 so I grabbed one and an extra controller. I figure they won't go back in stock online.

I also hit the gamestop nearby that had Dreamcast stuff, and their controllers and VMU's were only 2.99 and they were on clearance with 30% extra off. I'll probably grab 2 more controllers this week to complete the get-up.
 
When I check my account w/ EBonline, my DC order says "open" --I am not sure if they have one to send me, or what. I will wait a day or two, then call them and ask what's up.....
 
Guess what? iI just checked the lin 1 last time and it was these again so I finally got one. The only thing is though it said $9.99 on the first page, it changes to $14.99 after I put it in my cart. Luckily the free shipiping will apply. I already ordered it and I'm about to order 2 memory cards (one VMU and one 4x card).

I callled the EB customer support number and they told me to call back in an hour so that they could change the price of my order. Horray for me (plus rainbow come out today).

Apparently they have had enough demand that they thought they could make some more money if the jacked the price up 5?

I went to a B&M ebgames last night, and he informed me that they just had to send all of their DC stuff back, looks like they are planning on unloading it all on the web.
 
Help!

Someone sent me their GMR code, but it doesn't work. It appears to be too many digits. Could someone tell me how many digits it *should* have? The one I got has 3 letters followed by 7 numbers--but the field only lets me enter 9 digits. Do I just have a completely wrong code??

I got the same code and it wont fit on their website coupon blank.
 
Anyone having trouble using their Free Dreamcast Coupon online? I type in 'FREEDC' in the coupon section and click activate and it tells me to enter my Personalized Coupon ID. So I enter the code found at the bottom right hand corner of the coupon, and it only lets me type in the first 9 digits, and it's a 10 digit code... So I press activate after the 9 digits and it tells me its an invalid code. WTF Mate?! Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks in advance.

I stopped by a local store to ask about the coupon. The guy wasn't aware of the offer, but said he didn't have any consoles in stock anyway. I found the coupon in the Sept. issue of GMR on the counter. He suggested calling EBGames.com and asking about it. Very nice guy, even game me the magazine for free!

I called the EBGames.com 800 number. The rep eventually talked to his manager and decided that it was a B&M only coupon. Not sure if he was right or just trying to get off the phone. Still, he confirmed the inventory of a different local place and said to try there.

I went to the store expecting to get Crazy Taxi, Jet Grind Radio, and Space Channel 5 for $4.99 each. Good news: SC5 was less than $4.99. Bad news: JGR was $8 and the clerk said I'd HAVE TO get 3 $4.99+ games for the coupon to work. $15 worth of mixed games wouldn't work. 4 $4 games wouldn't work. Controllers and memory don't count. Etc. After digging around I came up with:

CT $5, JGR $8, Phantasy Star $5, SC5 $2, and ChuChu Rocket for $3. $24 for 5 games and the system (black, 'sports' edition). Good luck, and expect to dig around in the bargain bin for a while.

Anything I should know about this sports version?
 
Ordered mine Monday, hoping it to be here tomorrow. It said as of about 10:35 this morning it was in Springfield,Mass, which is about 45-60 minutes from me, right outside of Hartford,CT.
 
I also tried calling EBgames.com customer support about the buy 3 get a DC free coupon and they reffered me to GMR who claimed they had no idea what I was talking about. This deal sounds fishy. Has anyone gotten it to work?
 
lots of folks got it to work online for the N64 deal, apparently the buy 3 games get a free DC is B&M only. Hopefully they lower the price back to $10 shipped plus tax, that was a sweet deal.
 
great timing. My launch DC has started to act funky. I missed out on the 9.99 deal but 14.99 is still quite good consider most ebay seller charge that in shipping alone.
 
I just got the DC. Wow it arrived in 3 days using media shipping. That was really fast even though I live in the NE. However the DC is defective and can't read any games =(
