How did I know you would have to respond?
You and me think differently. I often look at games before looking at their price tag. This and Demon's Souls are the only games I'm looking at buying on launch day this year because they have tons of gameplay and can last me all year. This game was made for people like me who haven't played the original 2 not people like you who aren't interested in replaying them or who already own the ps2 games and don't care about the hd graphics, trophies, and 60 frames per second. I'm also pretty sure Nintendo didn't improve the graphics on their games and only added wii controls. Theirs also one major difference, you can find those games for 10 bucks, but you can't find gow 1&2 for 10 bucks.
I've had Demon's Souls(import copy with English subtitles and voiceovers but Chinese/English artwork and manual) on my TL for forever now and you could've already played through it for like $40-45 shipped, right? But that would mean we would've had to agree on something and I don't think that's going to happen.
I bought it from another CAG and I played a bit of it, but it's definitely not my cup of tea. Maybe I'm a bit coddled when it comes to games, but no real checkpoints and restarting from the beginning of a level when you die does not equal fun to me, though the game itself is breathtaking and well worth importing if you can't wait for the upcoming US release.
As for not being able to find the God Of War games for $10 or under, I beg to differ, between all of the used avenues I can buy games from(flea markets, local game shops, etc) I've had chances to rebuy the two games multiple times for under $10 each time.
Actually, just this past week I had a chance to buy a GH copy of God Of War II as part of the BOGO at Blockbuster currently. The GH version still has the two discs like the non-GH version, so for $7.50 I could've picked up one of the two GOW games AND had the 'extra content' they're touting for the PS3 version.
As to finding the re-released Nintendo games for Wii in their original Gamecube versions for $10 or under, I certainly hope you're not talking about Pikmin, since that game had a premium attached to it the last time I checked.
But again, I'll just wait and buy it cheap when I find it used or for super cheap on clearance. For those who haven't played the games yet, I hope they all enjoy these two games, as they were and are some of the best that the PS2 has to offer. I just hope that after all of the delays the third installment lives up to the series legacy thus far.
