Ive noticed that people put stuff on their trade lists that :
A) They do not have,
B) They never want to trade off,

As a result, my only conclusion is: Whats it doing on a TRADE list anyways? Making it look fancy? Id just like people to put stuff they seriously WANT to trade on their lists, if possible, to prevent people from wasting their time/getting frustrated from now on.

Anyone agree?

ummmmmm is this thread because of me? and the trade of alundra 1 and possible 2?
i said i couldnt trade it right now........doesnt mean its not for trade i would trade if for a really good trade but it not there to make my list look pretty.

Sometimes people put things on their list, but the offer isn't tempting enough to entice them to sell it. Saying that you've decided not to trade something is sometimes a polite way to say an offer sucks. ::shrug:: not seeing any specific example so I can't really agree or disagree.

Ive had several instances of this already-not singling you out.

Well just because its there doesn't mean you have to trade it. Hard to explain but read Mightyslacker gametradez homepage ( I think that was the one) and you would get the picture. Sometimes people just want to see what kind of offer they can get.

Well, is it that hard to just say no, offer not good enough, negotiate?

The usual response I've gotten when I say I'm not sure if I want to trade something, was to offer more, or something else that's higher valued. And being polite is good.

You wanted Alundra 2?

But I have a number of games that'd I'd trade off but I'm simply picky on what I'd trade them for. Take Star Ocean 3 or Nocturne, I'd trade it off but not for a couple of games I'm only midley interested in, tradelists are more likey people's best possible items were some will only go out for must trade for items.

I can understand what theyre trying to say. But in a way, its a bit of a lure. Im pretty new to trading, and have noticed some strange cases while negotiating~~That might explain my reaction to some of the replies.

I would like to share some examples to prove my point, but I dont want to start arguments.

everybody's got a price

With all this information..I have lost my innocence on the trading forum. I now see a dark side.

Dark side? It's not really dark it's more of the fact that most people want a whole lot of game a little bit and a very few games a lot. So for the games people really really want they will normally be willing to trade a heck of a lot more. I really wouldn't call it a darker side because very very rarely does someone get completely ripped off.

I was being sarcastic.

Some items people don't really want to trade, but realize that it may be a good way to get an item they've really been searching for. For example, someone might not want to trade valkyrie profile but they also really want suikoden 2. They wouldn't trade it for anything else but that particular game. They list it because they feel that it would increase the chance of them getting what they really want.

OMGWTF darksayian wont trade lunar!!!!!1

Just messin', DarkSayian. ;-)

It doesn't really matter now since you can't rename accounts, but I thought it was spelled "Sayain." That's been bothering me.

actually I think it's saiyan.[/QUOTE]

I don't know squat about DBZ (is that what this is from?), but I have been thinking the same thing, Saiyan is the only thing that would make sense, but like Javil said, it doesn't matter, so I never brought it up.

(Although, how did TrustCompany do it?):whistle2:s
