I'm here to tell you why Bomberman Act: Zero is actually pretty damn cool. And if you think I'm talking out of my ass, check out my
Xbox Live Gamercard - I'm actually playing the game - and enjoying it! Forget the haters out there and all the lemmings who've jumped on the bashing bandwagon. Bomberman Act: Zero matters most in one key area: gameplay. And if you love multiplayer gaming, this is your calling. Enough of my bantering, read on!
5. STAT TRACKING
This is the first Bomberman game that tracks players stats on a worldwide level! So all you smack talkers out there, it's time to put your money where your mouth is! You get scored for every win and every kill, so those of you with real skills can boast, while people like me giggle when we accidentally win!
4. HD GRAPHICS
Bomberman in high-definition, folks! The future is now! Because the game supports 1080i resolution, we've been able to incorporate maps on a very large scale! But if you're not playing on a large screen, you can always zoom in closer using the First Person Bomber mode to see the finer details.
3. EIGHT PLAYER MADNESS!
Let's be honest - who the hell buys Bomberman for the single player experience?? Even people with no friends can pull random strangers from the street for a game. Sure, the Saturn version had 10 player support, but it wasn't online and unless you had a big TV it was pretty tough to see what was going on (people don't seem to remember that). Most Bomberman games since then have only supported four players. Well, because Act: Zero has a large playing field, the eight players dynamic really works!
2. GLOBAL ONLINE PLAY
Not since Bomberman on the PC have players been able to compete online and worldwide from the US! Log into Xbox Live and you'll see players from Australia, Canada, and Japan all hanging out in the lobby, waiting to get their death match on! With little to no lag (depending on your ISP), Act: Zero is exactly what you'd expect from a fun Bomberman game.
1. IT'S BOMBERMAN!
Underneath that rugged metal exterior is the same Bomberman you know and love! Really! One go at it online and you'll realize the gameplay is classic Bomberman. It may be dressed as an angst ridden cyborg, but I assure you the fun factor that's made Bomberman such a blast to play for more than 20 years is still there!
