So I found a copy at a pawn shop. It was $10, but the disc was beat all to hell the case and manual were in great shape. Worth picking up at least to play?

I guess I could get it re-surfaced. Will GS/EB do it?

It's definitely good. I personally liked it better than the Champions games (especially the class choices and spells), but you only get 2 player co-op instead of 4.

I don't think gs/eb does resurfacing but gamecrazy does. I don't know how much they charge. If I were you I'd try to talk the pawn shop down a little bit. The game can be had for $12 at gamestop if you have the edge card that's only 10.80 and you can check to see that it's complete and doesn't need resurfacing

Finding it is another matter. Because this is made by Black Isle studios, ebay prices have skyrocketed since it came out.

I really regret that I traded my copy in as while back after my friend and I completed the campaign. My monk was tricked out with some kickass frost gloves.

I'd say $10 is decent. I thought GS/EB might have it for a little cheaper, but since I used to own it, I really haven't paid attention to the prices. It was a fun game, and I think I beat it with each character once, but it's kinda short, and so I ended up trading it in last year.
No, the first baldur's gate is $12.
oh, i assumed he meant 2

If the disc is beat to crap then maybe you could get it for around the same price and in better condition at gamestop/eb.
