Quick show of hands here: who here with a PS3 has Band Hero drums with MIDI out + MIDI in? If so, are you in the USA? From what Activision told me, only the Wii got the new drums (which has the in/out) and the PS3 and 360 got the World Tour drums (which only has in). I bought Band Hero on clearance at Target hoping to get the drums with MIDI out, but saw that it only has MIDI in --- even though I've seen pictures online of a PS3 Band Hero drum set with MIDI out.
