Band Hero Vocalist glitch

First off- yes, I actually bought Band Hero. It was 8 bucks, and I have weird taste in music. Now, with that out of the way...

I made 4 custom characters for this game- my 'own band', if you will. I set up the game to have all 4 of these characters in ' the band'. However, whenever I go actually play, the vocalist keeps swapping out for a random character. If I'm actually playing as the vocalist, it'll stay the character I picked for career and quickplay... but if I play guitar/bass or in party play mode, it's always turns into someone else. (I don't own a drum kit, so I can't check that.)

Anybody got any idea what's wrong? I can't figure out why it keeps changing my character.

I don't know the answer since I have yet to open my copy that I just got, but since this was the only Band Hero thread I could find, I figured I'd ask if there's anyone looking to do some of the band achievements online, especially the "complete a song with 4 players on expert with no one failing" achievement. However, the lack of replies to this post is disconcerting.

I've played hundreds of hours of music video games including every GH and RB released for the 360 and I haven't ever thought about changing the look of the NPC's in my band. I doubt this question will get answered here.
