Band of Brothers box set

I got what I thought was the US version on half.com for $39.99, but turned out it was the Japanese version and I hadn't read the fine print. But it was weird because the box was mostly written in english but then had japanese after it and it all played it english so I don't get if it is the japanese version or not, unfortunatly it didn't come in a tin case but rather a cardboard type one. Great series though.

That is weird. I haven't heard of that version. It's worth the $85 or so i've seen it here, to me. I just wanted to see if there was any deals before I spent that much. The series is great. I hear they are making another, about a different another company. Same producers and everything, so that should be good.
 
Awsome series. I managed to get it for $65 from ebay brand new. it was the US tin box release.

It's worth anything under 200$. One of the best things on DVD period (I put it on top of the LOTR EE's as far as the movie's themselves and I love them). It's really awesome and anyone that remotely likes War-movies/War series' should pick it up. I got mine for about 85$ shipped from some DVD site. It was definately worth it.

Are the extra features good?
 
If you have a Sam's Club close by you could check them out. Mine has a bunch for only $65. I still haven't bought one yet, but it's an excellent price.

Sams Club has the set in the tin for $60 or so...let me check online to see if they have it listed. I saw a ton of these at my local sams and could not believe the low price. :) :cool:

Edit....the online price is listed at $72.86 but I know they have this listed cheaper in-store. The online price on the average is higher than in-store dvd prices from my experience. I will check tomorrow when I am there to see what the exact price is on the tin. :cool: :D

If you wait for a DeepDiscountDVD.com sale, you can usually pick it up for the mid-$60s. You have to be quick though, this set is one that usually sells out.
 
50 bucks used at Gamestop, I got this with 2 transformer sets in the Buy 2 get 1 free sale. Plus I used my GS discount card for another 10% off deal.
