yea well i just tried to sign on xbox live right now and it saying im banned for life due to not obeying the Code of Conduct. but this is what all i had:

motto: PS3 fanboy 4 life!
bio: it was a huge pargraph telling how the PS3 is superior and how it will win teh console war.

first MS makes a guy change his name cause it had MOO in it and now this

well sum1 in MS Tech Support is going have a violent consumer tommorrow:D

still PS3 fanboy 4 life!

UPDATE:

ok well its over now....just got off the phone. according to "David", it was a error as my motto was ok and not violating and of the terms in the CoC. he doesnt know what happend (lol i doubt it, probably a pissed MS employee). he told me that he was sorry for the trouble and made the ban till tommorrow (which i dont get why he just didnt remove it). i turned on my xbox and confrimed it. and now i got a free copy of PGR 4 (which will be traded in) coming my way.

AFAIK, bannings on XBL are a nearly completely automated process(which is BS in the first place) and you get the boot after "x" number of complaints in "x" number of hours/days. So it wasn't actually MS, but people on XBL reading your motto and filing complaints themselves.

lol true. but i only bought a 360 at the time cause i wanted Gears of War and Lost Planet...and thats all i pretty much play when ever i sign on. since LP is going to PS3 then ill be only playing for Gears of War...the multiplayer is too fun
 
I really have never understood Fan boys (or even how that term got into place)

all 3 systems are good in their own way

Wii is great for multiplayer, wii parties are a hell of a lot of fun, if they can just make their online system not suck smash bros could be awesome as well. (it will be locally regardless on on-line play)

Xbox 360 is a great solo system, has a bunch of exclusives, and Xbox live is a great on-line service (when its not down over X-mas that is... but it's OK guys... we got a FREE copy of undertow, lol)

the PS3 is a great....... well... it plays Blu-ray movies, lol

you are right but i still perfer sony. and what you say about the ps3 is kinda fanboyish in a way also. the ps3 has great games (ie Heavenly Sword, Resistance, UT3, etc) and also if you are into coding and developing like me, it is a great system. i love spending time in Linux, just messing around in C# codes and stuff

They don't actually check the motto before they ban you. It's fucking stupid.

As for being banned for life, I doubt that's all you did or the first time you've been banned.

My first motto banning was for 3 days.

My second motto banning was for 10 days.

Them banning you for good after one offense doesn't sound legit.

well guess what, you get those same problems with a PS3, only thing different is you need a receipt if you want your warranty to be good.

After reading the spelling in this thread, I need a handful of chocolate-covered Extra-Strength Excedrin.

Let us not forget the flipside to a hypersensitive Microsoft, which is, I'm guessing, a mostly lawless PSN. If Microsoft matches Sony and makes all online gaming free, I still want a "Platinum" tier that I can continue to pay for, just to stratify myself from a good chunk of the lowlifes and other assorted riff-raff that permeate everything on Live this side of Chessmaster.

Well my bio says "At least my PS3 doesn't break...". There is no way I am changing it either. Screw MS if they seriously ban someone for something like that. I am not even kidding, I will sell my Xbox if they ban my Xbox Live profile.
