That is totally wrong. I have listened to the Major Nelson podcast from early January where he had a guest from the code of conduct people. They investigate each complaint and there is no automatic ban after a set amount of complaints. Just to give an example he explained how a very good halo player got a bunch of unfounded complaints just before a tournament. The team saw right through the complaints and what the competition was trying to do (get the player banned) before the tournament.

and ppl, just because im a sony fanboy doesnt mean i have to be on my ps3 24/7. like i said before, i like my Gears of War. to people so say "hey but GoW is on PC" y in the hell would i rebuy a game that wont run on my pc (low video card specs)?

to ppl who say "hey but ur gamerscore is high" i am not the only one that plays my console. i have so far only played GoW, LP, Condemned, and a lil Halo 3 (like a day or two). the rest ether my gf or friends played

i know ppl think im being a hardass to MS but they tried to screw me over dozens of times (7 RRODs - a couple they didnt want to take back, 5 broken GoW discs that they didnt want to replace but was broken as a result of a console problem, and many more)

and plus, at least sony's consoles rarely break and if they do, they fix it in 3 days

ether way this thread should be locked as the problem is now gone

Maybe it was someone who stumbled across it and wanted to fuck with you, who knows but damn man... 25%? How long have you been on Live exactly? I play almost nightly with tons of friends and none of us have dropped a single point


All 3 systems are great in their own way btw. I mean I don't know you and it very well could have been a mess up on their part but please, don't be a timmy.

I think you sound pretty like a pretty well rounded gamer. It's a legitamate complaint, I'd be pissed as hell if I got banned for no apparent reason.

Nice post, I love reading about Sony getting their arse handed to them even more so on a title like DOA4. I still recall all the petitions by what is now nothing more than a minority of gamers grasping onto a system that is far less than stellar. I can not wait to see the NPD North American numbers for this title. You dont have to search long to find the crys of this minority its always the same and mildly funny.

Not saying you did one over the other but I've played online for years, PC to console and not once was I ever infracted or threatened by others. Just sayin though... I mean if I went to a Honda car meet with a shirt having a VW sign pissing on a Honda sign... it wouldn't be the smartest thing either. Likewise if I went to NY Giant's victory parades in NYC rocking a Pats jersey with the name BLUE SUCKS, likewise... wouldn't be the smartest thing either

if they talk shit to me, i just shut them up with my skillz. and they still dont shut up then ill trash talk. other than that, i dont rub it in after a win. since its against our clan rules.
 
Pretty funny to me anyway. There is good, and bad about ps3, and 360. The 360 controller is better for fps games if you ask me. It is terrible for fighters. The ps3 controller is good for almost any game. It is just decent for fps compared to the 360 one. I hate how some games get rated a tad lower on ps3 because it slows down or something of the sort. Thats the only thing I don't like about the ps3. The only thing I don't like about the 360 is the hardware because I don't trust it. I like the ps3 over the 360 by some,but not alot I don't think that makes me a fanboy. If a game is on ps3 and 360 I usually get it on ps3 or which ever console it is on first. I think overall though it is worth getting a 360, and a ps3. Even if you don't play either or both online. I do think the ps3 is sexier I like the shiny black compared to the regular white.

Wait a minute. Why should PS3 games get an identical score if they're not as good as the 360 counterpart? Madden 08 runs at 30fps on the PS3. It's not as good of a gaming experience as the silky smooth 60fps that the 360 version offers. On the flip side, Devil May Cry 4 runs better on the PS3 because it loads onto the hard drive. Should the 360 version get the benefit of the doubt even though it has longer load times during the game? Being a fanboy is OK, but at least use an ounce of logic when you're doing it. No one is going to be swayed during an argument if you don't have anything worthwhile to argue.

But thats the thing. When the PS3 version IS better, its rated the exact same as the 360.

I agree with you but it hasn't been until recently that PS3 games have beaten out the 360 predecessors. The only 2 games I can think of are Burnout Paradise and Devil May Cry 4. Those two examples are good because the PS3 versions are just slightly better. I don't know if they are that much different to warrant a different score.

Many 360 games (like Madden 08) are noticably better versions. We're talking about the difference between a game running at 30fps (PS3) and 60 fps (360). I think that's enough to knock a couple percentage points off of a score. It's not much but I can see why magazines and websites are slow to come around to the PS3. Maybe when a couple PS3 versions of popular games are so much better then we'll see the grading curve swing the other way. I'd like to see fanboyism disappear but it looks like the mainstream gaming press loves the 360 and would love for the PS3 to disappear for some reason. We should probably move this somewhere else since it's just going more and more OTT.

well some games getting rated different is understandable,but a game like assassin's creed. I played both and it was pretty much the same thing. Like you said with devil may cry 4.
 
Now I'm thinking about doing this just to get free stuff. I really don't play on live much anyway. Guess I need to say how great the PS3 is and play some halo 3. Also I could say how I don't like halo 3 and that might help too.
 
MS wouldn't ban for the PS3 remarks in the motto... it must of been other gamers complaining about it or you were streaming porn in Uno :). With that motto you chose it to stir people up, it must have happened. :). Glad you were able to get it resolved.

Obviously, you've forgotten how to read. Don't get your panties all in a bunch because you think I'm bad mouthing the PS3.

For the last time, I understand why people complain. I'm just saying that the PS3 games that are better are not leaps and bounds better than their 360 counterparts. On the other hand, there are some glaring examples of PS3 versions of games that are damn near crippled in comparison to the 360 versions. Those games get different scores. Stop reading conspiracy into everything. The tide will sooner or later swing to the PS3 now that more developers are figuring out how to program for it.
