Barenaked Ladies wanted!
i can gaurentee this poor guys going to get nothing but jokes
When your thread is titled, "Barenaked Ladies wanted!", what should you really expect? He could have called it something a little less inviting.

He means the musical group, which is actually 5 guys from Toronto.

As for the BLAM CDs, Amazon has Barenaked Ladies are Me for $14.99 and Barenaked Ladies are Men for $13.99. BestBuy.com has the reverse: Me for $13.99 and Men for $14.99. WalMart.com has both for $14.88. CircuitCity.com has both for $13.99, as well as a DVD-audio version of Me for $24.99. FYE.com has Men new for $14.99 or used for $9.99 but no mention of Me.

So, it looks like not much under $15, but I couldn't resist trying to help a fellow BNL fan. I do highly recommend both.

Thanks for the info. I knew all this was coming, but if it keeps the topic bumped then I guess there is no harm. Hell my wife still makes those jokes...

I buy CDs to support artists I like. It is really that simple.

Going to shows and buying merchandise(I know, not always possible) supports the artist many many times more than buying the cd - that mainly supports the label.

Shut the fuck up please. BNL moved to an independent label after being dissatisfied with where they were and now end up making a lot more per CD. They have actually been very cool with fans and stuff. Maybe you should read up on them and errr stuff. Go read a wiki maybe

If BNL wasn't on their own label, he would be absolutely right.

The music industry has no one but themselves to blame for the state they are in today. Progress or die.

When the artists get 5¢ on a CD and the lables sign shitty teen-boppers and restrict creativity and quality for the sake of the almighty dollar, I'll use my dollar elsewhere. If people want to listen to that shit, I'd rather they pirate it. But yes, you do have to know what the fuck you're talking about in order to properly boycott something.
are bnl are me and men any good? I have been getting into bnl and am wondering if these are worth getting.
I'll tell you when I get them.

But if you want a cheap way to get into BNL, you can sign up for BMG Music Service (if you want, I can send you a link and I'll get some free CDs) and most of their catalog is in there.

Or just pick up any CD you can find, they are all good. Really.

Jesus, you're missing my entire point. It's good to get the point out that the artists make nothing from album sales usually, but when a good artist such as BNL come along and produce good music and put out their own cds and only are asking for a bone to be thrown to them from fans, than you shoud do it. They ditched that high label bullshit so someone coming out saying that you should not buy their album is wrong.

I haven't listened to the new albums yet, but I've always been surprised as to how much I like them and how little support/publicity they seem to get. They're fun and yet can still write a serious song or two here or there.
