Baten Kaitos and Tales of Symphonia 19.99 NEW at Gamecrazy!!!

I think that he is asking what B&M stand for? He must have lifted this from another forum. B&M is brick and mortar...or the actual store that you walk in, as opposed to online. Anyhow, is this a deal for new games...if so, I am so there to rebuy these great games.
Don't miss out on these great games! And they should be B&M. What exactly do these stand for?
I don't think GameCrazy sells online, so I have to assume that it's B&M. That said, what is the source of this information? And reiterating the above question: are these new or used?

These are both new, I changed the price on them in our store the other day.

And just for your info, Blockbuster Gives $25 for Baten Kaitos, AND, GameCrazy will pricematch Blockbuster's Trade in Prices. So, Getting $5 store credit for trying Baten Kaitos isn't bad.

Is this for new ones or used copies of the games? I would love to pick up both of these games, and I actually have a Gamecrazy near my house!

It would be nice if all the gaming retail stores (EB, Gamestop, etc.) decided to follow suit and drop their asking prices as well. Unfortunately, I don't have any store credit saved up at Game Crazy right now.

Game Crazy doesn't sell online? Dammit, I live in the northern reaches of Canada and desperately want Baten Kaitos. CRAP!

Why does it have to be GameCrazy, I hate that place. Nothing's worse than a store that tries to ram over priced memberships down your throat.

So just judging from these posts-- you guys prefer Baten Kaitos > Tales?

Haven't played either, but interested in checking out one of these two GC RPGs...

I already have Tales, thus only need Baten. Unfortunately I have not played Tales yet so I can't speak to it's quality. Alot of people on these boards like it though.

Are gamecrazy stores located inside Hollywood Video our is it a seperate location?
No matter, the closest hollywood video to me is 2 hours from here

Good deal, I'll probably check it out after class. Don't know about BK but i'll definitely get Tales. Been waiting for a good deal like this. Thanks OP!

Usually the Gamecrazy is in Hollywood videos, just in its own section or well own kinda store. It's like a Starbucks in a Barnes & Noble ^^?

Anyways nice deal on both of those games. I bought ToS for $27.00 ish on Black Friday and I thought that is worth it and getting it for $20.00 is a steal IMO.

From what I hear Baten is interesting gameplay with the card feature and ToS is an action RPG so you get a little bit more movement than just constantly tapping the same button over (even though that's like most RPG-- you get the idea somewhat). I like the graphic and gameplay of Tales (also the voice over isn't that bad as I heard Baten Kaitos is?). And BK from playing the demo is pretty cool using the cards.. although I really had no clue on what I was doing so much, but it's "new" to use the cards.

Great deal OP. Thanks. I'll probably be checking this one out either tomorrow or Wednesday. I don't think there is too much of a hurry since almost no one really buys games at my Gamecrazy or for that matter really at any Gamecrazy. I'm hoping to pick up Baten Kaitos for 19.99 since I already bought Tales of Symphonia for $25 or so on Black Friday at Target. I absolutely love Tales of Symphonia and while it's not the best RPG this generation, it's probably the funnest RPG I've played in a while.

Don't know how good Baten Kaitos is, I always hear mixed reviews on that one with some people stating that they enjoy the card based gameplay and others just hating that aspect of it. Still, for 19.99 I think it's a good price. It holds a 82% ranking over at GameRankings.com

Plus I got money so I'm happy and ready to spend :D

OP, is this part of some sale or deal or is this just a simple Price Drop there?

I sound like a newbie right? What is OP? Appreciated? If so your welcome. How do I put an emoticon on these things. Anyways my review for these games is

TOS=B+
BK=B

Used BK is 18 bucks though.

OP is opening post (first post in thread) or opening poster (Ultros), I believe. They used to have that cool mouseover acronym thingy; I hope they bring that back.

btw, good deal OP... too bad I already got both for more a while back and haven't had a chance to play either :(

I'd consider going up to the nearest GC, but i never have time to game anymore anyway. Not until I graduate, at least...

OP stands for Original Post/Poster. To put an emoticon in a post you can do 1 of 2 things or both, either type it out like for the happy smiley, it is a colon followed by a D, so in other words: :D. You can do that for each emoticon you want to put in or go to advanced posting and click on the previewed smileys or click for more smileys and go from there.

I own and beat both (Tales 3 times... :D), and I think Tales is a far better game than Baten Kaitos. They're also completely different types of RPGs, Baten Kaitos has the card system (strange at first but well done), and Tales is pretty much an action RPG (some battles it's almost like a crazy fighting game) They're both worth playing through, if I didn't own them both already I'd jump on this. For $20 they're both a steal.
I like the graphic and gameplay of Tales (also the voice over isn't that bad as I heard Baten Kaitos is?). And BK from playing the demo is pretty cool using the cards..
I thought the voices in BK weren't very good, but I picked up somewhere that if you set the sound to surround (even if you don't have it), it really helps it sound better. The voices sound very hollow otherwise, kinda like they're speaking in a box or something.

Thanks OP, I've been looking for BK for a while. I'm sure everyone else knew about this, but the sales chick also gave a free RE4 demo disk when I asked about it.

i was at a gamecrazy yesterday and saw Tales new for $19.99 and used for $16.XX after MVP. I assumed it was a price drop on the game everywhere, but so far only gamecrazy has it for this price. FYE gives $22.XX credit for it.

$20 is a great price for ToS... It's still my favorite RPG of this generation! BK is a pretty solid game and $20 is just the right price for it.

I do hate how they make us ram MVP cards down people's throats, and if the price isn't updated on the wall, its on the computer. We didnt update ours until we saw it recently. There was no price drop email thing on this one.

anyone know if this is a universal price drop. there are no game crazy stores around where I live :(

hopefully it is a price drop, because Toys R Us has the soundtrack CD to Baten Katos packaged with their copies of it.

anyone know if this is a quick sale or if it will last for awhile? Reason being is because im short on cash right now but I would really like to get Baten Kaitos at that price.

just checked out my local GC (Southern California) and they had Baten Kaitos new for $20.
Forgot to ask about Tales of Symphonia.

Awesome. Hopefully the games are still there and on sale when I go there tomorrow. I'm extremely lucky to have one only a half a mile away. ^_^

I'd like to know if this is a temporary price drop also, or a permanent one? Anyone know? I would prefer to keep my $40 for the time being, even though both games are well worth the expense.

Anyone who likes RPGs (and/or anime), has $20, and doesn't have Tales of Symphonia will hate themselves forever if they don't buy the game at this price. i got it on release day and am almost done with it now, and it's one of the best games I've played in my 18 year gaming career.

I'd buy Baten Kaitos since it's a Namco RPG and it's said to be reminiscent of Chrono Cross, but I need to keep my money for WrestleMania 21 on Wednesday.

I got Baten Kaitos with the Kmart deal. It's a horrible game even at 25 bucks. 1 ending, replayed music, horrible voice talent, and a superficial combo system.

Trading it in for ToS is great for me...
