Batman ac collector's edition ps3 $59.99

I've been wanting to pick up the PS3 version as I have the 360 version and both the PS3 and 360 Batman AC Controllers... $60 is a little more then what I want to pay at this point but the PS3 version is definitely the more valuable CE at this point

The game was $10 after coupon last wk, I don't believe the extras are worth $50. Plays fine on a standard DS 3, hardest part is doing the augmentated training where you have to glide and dive through the loop holes.

No you're right; they're not... but to a collector they may be. Batman AA is $15 but I sure as hell would pay $65 for a new and sealed CE (PS3)

I wish BB would have priced it at $34.99 like the Xbox version during that mega sale. Not sure if I should get one at this price or wait and see if it goes lower.

I was just watching an unboxing of this and the Batman figurine looks super pale.
I wonder if all of them are like that or did that one guy get unlucky?

The fact that this didn't come with a steelbook is also a downer. :(

I agree. I use to buy CEs all the time. Now I only buy if it comes with either a steelbook or a artbook. Since this has neither Ill bd passing.

it does come with an artbook. though its more promotional art than concept/visual development.
From what I've read the quality of this statue isn't very good.
the statue is supposed to be black and white, and it is a very good quality (manufactured by kotobukiya, after all.) the problem is that its not very big at all. since batman is kneeling, its only maybe 5 inches from the base to the top of his pointy ears. the detail is amazing though, you can see the texturing on the suit and all his bat pouches are on his belt. it really is nice, just very small

I think $60 is a great deal if you don't already have the game. I love my statue, and actually prefer it on the kind of smaller side (I don't have much room as it is). The detail is amazing and that Artbook-case isn't all that bad either. That on top of the $30ish worth of DLC they gave me with mine makes this a must-have. If I were to set a price on the statue alone, I'd say it's worth around $40ish, there are a few on eBay now for $50+.

Still waiting for it to drop to $40 mark.

Thanks anyways.

It should also be noted that I believe the game comes in a cardboard sleeve in this CE as well, just like the one from the DC Universe Online CE did. So if you buy the CE for $60 and you care about having a complete copy of the game you'll have to buy a replacement case/artwork/manual from somewhere.

EDIT: Apparently the game disc is in the back of the artbook in this CE. So as I said, you'll need to get a replacement case n everything if you wanna have a 'complete' version of the game.

The artbook doubles as a case. It actually pops in the back cover (no sleeve).

Still though. I know some folks were disappointed when they got the CE at launch and found out it was in the back of the artbook.

But to me, that's still NOT an actual case and I'd likely be hunting for a regular case to replace it with.

I just wanted to get this info out there so people could make an informed decision as to whether or not they could live with the game not being in an actual case inside the CE.

I'm sure everyone has a copy of this game now, you can trade in your first one at Gamestop disk only and keep the original case if you really wanted the CE. If you wait for a promo, gamestop would probably still give you near 30 for B:AC. 30 bottom line for the CE stuff might be worth it, statue is pretty cool.

The statue in this looks like it's only a lil bigger than the Duke Nukem Balls Of Steel Edition($29.99 new @GS) bust. Honestly, the extras in some of these CE's really suck for the price they put them at. Even the God Of War III Ultimate Edition with the Pandora's Box replica was shit because everything besides the game and replica of the box in the US version was a digital freakin' download. Now compare that to the UK version of that edition, where you got everything extra on physical discs AND they threw in the God Of War Collection to the package for the price too.

At least with this CE the Batman movie is an actual disc.

About the only CE I might grab for laughs now is the Lord Of The Rings: War In The North one via a PM to BB, since that's $39.99 NEW right now at GS too.

the statue is actually much bigger than dnf bust. it appears small because batman is crouching, but it is actually very nice/sizeable in person. the dnf bust pales in comparison. i got the lotr witn ce for 15 after pur coupon and still felt it was underwhelming.

Crap... to get, or not to get...:whistle2:k

I have $10 from ME3 and $37 from my Skyrim game trade-in (from the $60 Newegg CE). I want to get this for the CE extras and unload the game but I probably won't get much for the game. But then again, it's costing me $16.xx out of pocket.

EDIT* fuck it, why not. I still have $42 GC from BBY from even longer ago and I doubt I'll spend that on anything either.

That's unfortunate. It's the biggest thing that annoyed me about the Final Fantasy XIII-2 CE.

had the same problem with both b:ac ce and ff xiii-2 ce, so i traded both games disc only for $25-30 each and then rebought them when the vanilla versions were $10/$15 at bb. problem solved

Chances are I'm gonna try for a PM based on BB's price match policy, since it says they will PM local competition within a 25 mile radius. So the stores showing as in-stock(though low stock) on the LOTR: WITN CE at GS are within that 25 mile radius. Either way it should be an interesting time.

I wish GS would've lowered the Uncharted 3 CE to $40 instead though, since I never finished that and I'd rather a ring and the items from that as opposed to a quiver and some plastic arrows or whatever this CE comes with.;)

No... I keep thinking I should sign up since the additional $10 I would have gotten from ME3 would have basically covered the cost of being Unlocked. But I don't know what their deals are like so I always hesitate when it comes to signing up.

I can justify Gamestop because I save well beyond $15 I pay for it just due to all the used games I buy, even if I never trade anything in.

the 2 arrows are part of the middle earth map- like the ends of a scroll.

below is the 1st month that the coupons started stacking with sale prices from that point on GCU has been unbeatable. Free games, $5-$15 games $20 off recent/new releases, used game deals combined with trades that far exceeded GS & trades that had good flips to GS. Just check the OP's in the link for what coupons were for those months(check the dates since some go back to early 2011). You can easily make the $15 back in 1 flip @ BB or on 1 great cheap game sale like $10 batman AC.

In March alone you could've gotten Rage, FF XIII-2, Bulletstorm, Mass Effect 2, Batman AC & a 1 yr sub for $55 + tax...that's less than 1 game new can't be that anywhere. April's mag is shaping up to be Darkness 2 $15-$20, Yakuza $20-$30, Resistance 3 $11.50 & Homefront $1.XX pretty good just not as epic as March.

Remember once you buy 2 $5 mags the next mag purchase you make is the same $15 for GCU but you will still need to spend the $15 at some point if you join down the line. I joined day 1 & now that $15 is covering me for 2 yrs plus the welcome kit coupons which also make the $15 well worth it since you can stack with sale prices.

Oh wow, i didn't even know that about xiii-2. i bought xiii-2 for the novela when it was $15.
I was then going to trade in the game and wait for a price drop for the collector's edition.
But if the ce doesn't even have the ps3 case w/ cover art I guess I should just hold on to my complete copy and also buy the ce later.

Very interesting. I think I may actually try for a PM of that tomorrow when I'm out to the local BB. Then I'll probably see if I can get a ship-to-store order of Homefront(preferably not from the next closest store which had that disc only copy:puke:) and maybe blow the rest of my credit pre-ordering GTA V via the website since I wanna have it paid off before it releases.

So I got the Batman Collector's Edition with the Buy 2, Get 1 Free Gamer Club Unlocked welcome coupon. I picked it up with MLB 12: The Show, and Twisted Metal (Yes, I realize they were already on sale, but no other games I want that's out). I got them all for $36.xx each. The coupon said up to $40 value per game, but it worked for these no problem.

In my excitement over the coupon actually working, I forgot to use my $20 e-gift card and $10 reward certificates. Max Payne 3 is tempting.

Anybody know if BB price matches pre-orders? I thought maybe I could get them to PM the Toys R Us $45 pre-order for Max Payne 3 and get the $20 eGiftcard.

The price would need to remain $45 on release on the site so you can show it to CS.

I picked up the last copy of the PS3 Arkham City version they had even though online it said UNAVAILABLE. I am pretty impressed with the statue as I collect DC Direct stuff. I too am a stickler about the paper sleeve but I tend to leave my LE games sealed anyway.

I also did notice and purchase (this may be YMMV or retail now I dunno) the Uncharted 3 Big Boxed Collectors edition for $59.99. There was one left in the area where all the steering wheels and guitars and Hunting game boxes were.

Those Uncharted 3 CE's were $64.99 when I was at my local BB earlier this week. They're down to ONE in stock. I'm kinda hoping that GS or BB themselves does a clearance sale on them for $40 out the door sooner than later.
