This is gonna turn into an Ironman/Batman fight huh?

Ironman wins for cool, great special effects.

However Batman wins for best story and acting.
This is the Midnight Bestbuy Offer for Iron Man Last Sept:

Just came back from that one too, and just got the joker card. I was surprised how many people were already there.

Dude, I was off by one number from getting a gift card. :/

You boys are crazy. Went to Walmart at 1145pm. Got in, got out. Only about 30 guys waiting there. Sweetness....this movie PQ looks GREAT! Especially the IMAX shots!!
My friend might after his shift.

He lives in Kendall.
:bomb::bomb::bomb:

I waited 3 hours for the free T-shirt and pin, but the employees HOARDED everything, they were wearing the T-shirts and pins that the first 25 people in line were supposed to get.

I was 3rd.

I talked to the General Manager, and he had some nerve after I told him that the shirts and pins were for us.

"Oh these? They're for Best Buy Employees! Sorry."

fuck Best Buy.

Best part of the evening, I preordered the movie and was supposed the get the poster, as when I preordered the stupid cashier told me that I was supposed to get the poster at launch.

Oops. Cause BB had none left.

No T-Shirt, no pin, no poster. Worst midnight launch ever.

Luckily the movie is awesome on Blu Ray so I'm satisfied! :D

EDIT: Just noticed that I NEVER got that Joker Card either...And I bought 3 copies.

Wow... contract the corporate office about that, that's worth at least a call for something as bad as that. I'd be so pissed.

Ok, I came back from the Sterling, VA event around 1am-ish.

This is what happened. No one was in line until 10:30. Some fool just stood out there while I stayed in my warm car. Then another fool came out, so by 11:15 I went to join them. A bit nippy out. So I was number 3. Then this dude came dressed as a very good looking Joker and in full character (with knife too). Some more people came and and towards midnight there was about 30-40 people. The BB people gave us tickets for the raffle contest. The first guy in line actually won one of those t-shirts...everything else was HOARDED by the Employees (yes they were wearing the buttons). Anyways One of the giveaways was a BR signed by Nolan (to be mailed), and the 17th-18th person in line got that one! (GRRR). It would seem that persons 2-7 (Including number 3 me) won the 25 dollar gift cards! So basically I got the Blu Ray for free! :whee:

The event really sucked. No other prizes, food/drink or even a showing of the movie on a big screen (Come on Sterling, get with the program!). I also picked up GH:AS for 40 (with coupon from the vg thread).

Not too shabby I must say.

I did call corporate and fortunately they found out about the way the Kendall Store ran the launch (Payback is a BITCH ;)). For my troubles I'm getting a 30bux giftcard, in effect paying off my copy of the movie. :bouncy:

The store told corporate that they were low on supplies, and did not receive much for the launch (lies but w/e), and they never got the joker cards. Plus the store never got anymore posters so they couldn't give any to those that pre-ordered, riiiight, as when I got my copy presumably a employee got his reserved poster when he picked it up.

Well, in the end I basically got my copy of the movie for free because the crap I had to take at the launch. All is well now. :D

I did the same thing, but I was actually overcharged. I paid 29.96 plus tax, so I had to go back the next day and get it adjusted.
