Didn't even notice it was a slip cover. Yeah, that stinks, but the case is fine.
 
Wait, so is this a two or three disc set? Feature film disc + extras disc + digital copy disc or feature film/extras + digital copy?
 
It's day and date with the dvd release.

It's a 2 disc set. Although Warner put a Digital Copy on Mongol and didn't list it as a 2 disc set(it has a disc with digital copy).

I'm in. The price is right so unless there's a killer exclusive bonus somewhere else (Batpod edition doesn't interest me) this will do just fine. Plus it's one less thing to go to a store for during the holidays. God bless online shopping.
 
I think the slipcover is awesome. It'll make everybody happy. One cover for the batman fans, and the other for joker fans. Perfect!
 
the dvd verson claims to have 6 IMAX scenes on it, where the bluray says nothing about it. does anyone know if these are on the BD version?

From what I've read, the IMAX scenes are included in the Blu Ray version as well. I'd link to the story, but I don't remember exactly where I found it. I think it was somewhere on High-Def Digest, though.

That little bat thing is the case. It's a clam shell thing, and I don't think it comes with a real BD case.

So is the digital copy on the second disc? It doesn't say on the back and isn't that second disc also a Blu-ray? I don't think enough people have Blu-ray drives in their computers to warrant something like that. This is really confusing. Especially since the Blu-ray Wall-e release lists the third disc as the digital copy. I'm still not sure, haha.
 
Im waiting on pre-ordering this particular title....Knowing that its such a hot property, im betting many retailers are gonna have exclusive version to own.

It might be on a 3rd disc and Warner just isn't listing it. I think you need the disc if you want the WMV version. But you just need a code for the iTunes version. You're guaranteed to get 2 BDs for the movie and extra features. And you are guaranteed a Digital Copy. it could just be a code, or it might be a DVD(it will only be on a DVD so don't worry about needing a BD drive in your PC for it).

Warner is the most inconsistent studio there is(even the titles with lossless audio are seemingly random). So you know what your getting, you just don't know how.
I mean Mongol doesn't have anything on the box to denote that it has a DC, but there was a tiny sticker on the shrink wrap. Once that's off you can only tell by opening it up.

same here...I see it being like the transformers movie release that has how many variances now?!?!? (someone here on CAG posted his complete collection, easily a dozen different versions)
 
Yeah, that would be Xage. He has a huge collection of variant DVDs of different movies.
No doubt, im betting he will be on the top of his game with this Dark Knight release

It's a disc that comes with the bluray or dvd that allows you to put a copy of the movie on a portable device like your ipod or psp.
 
Just to be clear, if you buy a Blu-Ray that has a digital copy of the movie, that digital copy is not in hi-def. Digital copy discs are DVDs and contain only the standard-def version of the film.
 
anyone have any idea when or if amazon will have limited edition w/ the batpod available?

i believe amazon.ca has it for pre-order so it should just be a matter of time right?
 
would they have the LE and would they have the 2 movie pack (like kill bill and NT) did
 
this is one of those.. gotta have on first day movies.. too bad no release day delivery on movies.. im sure bb will have at 26.99 ish with something free
