I hate rebates too. The intent behind a rebate is that they don't have to pay out 100% because people will forget, it can get lost in the mail or they can come up with a million reasons to deny it. I had two rebates from Macmall that were being handled by some third party rebate company. One was processed no problem, the other was pending for months on end even though I sent them in together. And then eventually the rebate company went out of business so I got screwed.
