Crap, got it from the Eggster earlier. Had some credit at Amazon too, so this would have been even cheaper for me.

Yeah great deal, comes with Onslaught and Battlefield 1943.

I picked this up on black friday with the $10 credit
 
Bad deal compared to the one from GameFly which was $15
1. No one plays onslaught and its not very fun, and if it is for you then it will get old fast.
2. Battlefield 1943 is inferior.
3. Gamefly rental purchase comes with VIP code for all future map dlc's.
 
got this on amazon for 20 last week or so. it was part of the buy 1 get half off promo and at that time it was 26 and some change. me and my bro went half on it. great game
 
So worth it. I probably put in more time in BF than I did in MW2 and Black Ops this year. I actually just picked up the 360 version because I have a bunch of points on XBL and I'm just waiting for Tuesday to roll by for the Vietnam DLC.
 
I just bought the UE infact but I need some help. I downloaded the BF1943 game and it told me it was installed but I cant find it! It dled real quick too, but where the heck can it be? I checked in game and all around the xmb. Help please!
 
Is the Onslaught and 1943 extras a code on the 360? I've got 1943 from release and don't care about Onslaught.

Also have the VIP from my standard copy I sold long ago. Vietnam looks pretty fun and i'd like to hop back in.

Nevermind just found my answer on Amazon in the game discussions: "In case anyone was still wondering, there are 3 codes that come with this version of the game: 1 VIP Code, 1 Onslaught Mode Code, 1 Battlefield 1943 Code. Hope this helps anyone who might still be wondering."

Gonna go ahead and bite, it'll be here wednesday. I beat around the bush and didn't buy for $15 from GF, selling the 3 codes hopefully should get my price down somewhat close to that.

As far as I know, if you sell your VIP pass, you won't be able to play multiplayer.
 
VIP just gets you all the extra maps and such you can still play online without it. I already have mine from the old copy I had so luckily I can sell that as well and still have all the maps. Looks like it alone goes for $7 and up on EBay.
 
I bit on the newegg deal myself, wish Amazon had this a few days earlier. Great value and the multiplayer is by far the best FPS warfare on the internet. So much deeper than the COD series.

You're allowed to play mp without entering the VIP code. When the message pops up, you can select to enter it later.

Also, only PS3 version is on sale, not 360.

360 version was also $30 until this morning. I took too long to decide and of course regret missing the deal. Hopefully it'll go for cheap again soon as Vietnam looks dope.
 
I picked this up at amazon a few weeks ago as well, it was 26.99 and was part of bOgO half off deal, which netted me Sega collection for 9.xx, its definitly worth 30 bucks esp. if you dont have the regular version already.

Are you sure you downloaded the demo from the PSN Store? You may have downloaded the Unlock key only. Do you know how big the DL was? You have to download the demo, which will then show up in the games section to install. Also make sure all your games are being shown, rather than in a folder by hitting the square button (possibly a few times).

Also check your "Game Data" section (under Games) and see if there's anything there for BF1943.

Except it originally came out in late August/early September to beat Halo/CoD to market.

Just as a comparision, this game used at Gamestop is $25 without a guaranteed VIP code (depends if the original owner or an employee redeemed it) so this is a great deal. I believe I heard a used copy at Blockbuster is $15, again without a guaranteed VIP code.

You might have downloaded the activation code for BF1943... Normally activation codes are very quick and it doesn't do anything until you have downloaded the game itself. Try to locate the game BF1943 and download that... Some PSN games are "full demo" meaning that the demo is a full game. If you purchase the game, you're given the game activating install, which is very small (hence you don't need to download the actual game again, demo is now a full game).

Wow missed that! Wish I picked that up instead Amazon copy came today, have to pay tax both places soo. Same price game and half price points basically. :)
