Nice deal if you buy the individual seasons of BG on blu-ray as opposed to the complete series set. Ignore the 4.5 set and Razor considering its uselessness since they are both included in the season 4 set.

Exactly what I did today. Couldn't pass that up - especially with $40 of Shopkick certs... $20 for 4 glorious seasons of BSG on Blu??? Yes, please!

I ended up taking the last S1 and S3 in the store. Figured I couldn't wait any longer or they'd be gone.

Didn't ask if the prices were ending tomorrow or not, but when I went in yesterday, the sale tags they had up had a run from 7/15 - 7/21. Since the sale has been going on for a bit longer, I don't think these will go back up on Sunday, but if anybody has any information it would be great.

I don't think anything from Netflix is in 1080p. Thought the best Netflix could do was 720p or 1080i. Though it's entirely possible your post was sarcastic and you were implying that all along ;).

Anyways isn't BS-G and pretty much all shows filmed in 720P anyways. Normally 1080i is just a upconverison.

Though I will say Labyrinth looks great in 1080 and its 20+ years old.

I can but I have a big expensive-ass new Samsung TV (I'm so cool by the way:roll:). It wasn't much of a difference on my old TV though.

I wouldn't say the reason to buy is the 720p vs 1080p thing. I would say the reason to buy is if you like special features like audio commentaries and deleted scenes. The deleted scenes in Battlestar Galactica are great. If you don't care about that stuff though and you have netflix, save your $60.

Of course there's always the possibility that these episodes won't be available on Netflix forever. I'm sure for $60+tax for the complete series on bluray, you could watch everything, and resell it months or years down the road for more than $60. But that is a lot more hassle than just pressing a button and streaming it immediately.

It's one of my favorite shows and I was sitting on a shit ton of BB credit, so it was a no brainer for me.
 
is there any nudity in this show? if so, what season or seasons?
i'm looking for katee sackhoff specifically but if you know of any other actresses let me know too.
 
Oh believe me I was about to get it now but with my wedding only weeks away and had to use my credit for TNG HD and a new microwave......it was TNG or BSG........
 
Any chance of the blu-ray for seasons 1-3 hitting $20 at best buy anytime soon? I have season 4. Closed my hulu+ account so I'm looking to grab the rest of this collection for $20 each.

I don't want to go with walmart because they charge shipping and I have a lot of best buy credit.
