the sony cavalry showed up the bb parking lot recently. while playing the demo of lair, some sony rep came up to me and gave me this coupon and a demo for some ps2 tennis game and a wrist band. i told him i was interested in buying an 80 gig ps3 and he told me to save $$$ and go for the 60, kinda weird. i dont know if scans are ok i guess ymmv with this print out of the coupon.

The man's right, you want a 60. Better backward compatibility for every game I searched on their website (Final Fantasies, Metal Gears, Gods of War), and $100 cheaper.

Well, of course, this is assuming you want a PS3 at all, which is another matter entirely.

weird the fry's coupons for $5 sony games I got from sony's witnesses last time out in a Fry's parking lot they were only good for 3 days lol

Rumor is that Sony will eventually announce a $400 40 Gig PS3. But again, that's a rumor.

Btw, what are the dimensions of the coupon? Size of a regular piece of paper. Half a sheet?

That's right because the 60GB version uses hardware emulation while the new 80GB uses software emulation (read: it's up to Sony on what games {if any!!!} to support).

Um... this coupon was given out during a Sony promo so it only works with PS3, PS2, and PSP games I believe.

Go for a 60Gb. everything I've learned and studied about it says it is better. It actually has the EE chip and not poor emulation (some argue that the emulation is ok). Plus, if you just want a bigger hard drive, you can always just plug in an external HD.

printing from firefox = cropped up jones for image shack coupons for some reason
 
um, so basically i could just use my photo editing program and print it with the full sheet of 8.5 by 12 because it's double sided(which would make it 4.25 by 6 on each side). Im priniting it for my friend. Thanks.
 
Unless you people's BB's are seriously uptight, you guys/girls are overreacting about printing format.

If you're having trouble with printing it in a browser window, just save it and open it with the Windows picture/fax viewer and print it straight from there (assuming you're using Windows). It fit it all in one sheet for me. I ripped off the bottom half and it scanned perfectly when I used it. Unless the barcode on your printout is bigger than the scanner, I don't think you'll have a problem.

Oh yeah, and I left it black and white.
 
I'll print one at college with their color printer and go on down and see if this makes anything they got a good buy. Lord knows my PSP is getting dusty.
 
Worked like a charm on Burnout:Legends (Greatest Hits) game. I had a $5 reward zone coupon from a friend too. So $10.49 out the door.
 
Sweet. I'll wait till next weekend to grab Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror for $24.99. Couldn't believe a PSP port was $39.99.
