Some guy in NJ bought Five Prestige editions and parted them out on ebay.

A bunch of DLC codes and RC cars are showing now as well.

I just picked this up today, the car is ok my daughter just hits the crap out of it while I tease her with it. Seems like it can break really easy though. Any ideas where is the best place to unload a standard edition of Black Ops?

It always boggles me how there are those buy-it-now items for comparable to the price of what people ultimately end up bidding on, but people sometimes don't go for those. I usually set a limit on how much I bid if I'm the buyer. Anymore, and I move to another auction. Consequently, I don't win many auctions. :lol:
 
Went in earlier specifically for this and left empty handed. Went in again just now for something else and the guys magically found one for 360. Glen Burnie, MD is officially out of both systems now.

What the hell i can't even find ONE store from Brooklyn to new jersey that had either the hard or prestige edition in stock!!!!!!!!

If it's what I think I saw it looks like a black map/poster thing folded and wrapped in plastic. Has anyone confirmed that you can get it for free with your purchase? It was a pre-order bonus.
 
Thanks CAG...surprised to find them at my local BB. Boufht the last one at the bellinghan, WA BB - xbox 360 version. Also picked up Gran turismo 5 LE. Nice haul. Love buying collector's edition for cheap.
 
How long do you guys think this price will last? Until stock is depleted? Or will BB jack up the price down the road? Really wanna get this deal but I dont think I can until my birthday next week... If theres any left...
 
When I was at BB earlier tracking one down, the girl checked the computer and checked the local warehouse and they had 120. She ordered one to be shipped to the store, so you might be able to do that.

Also if you can't find it don't despair, don't quote me on this but the person told me if a store has it, it is only because it was a pre-order somebody didn't pick up.

Funny story today, my girlfriend and I went to BB today to get this specifically, too my dismay, there were none left in the 360 section or PS3 section. They were marked at 79.99, so it was obvious why they were all gone. So I went around looking at the TVs instead, and my girlfriend sticks around the 360 section and asks a guy if they have any in the back. I went back to video games and noticed a lone 360 version on top of the Playstation Move display that had going. I was going to get it, but then saw that it was already open so I didn't want to even risk it, but just then the employee gets their with one in hand and tells us it's the last one they had, but it took him like fifteen minutes to find it. Needless to say, I got very lucky.

I just played with the RC car, definately glad I bit on this deal now, that thing is easily worth the 80 dollars in my opinion, i mean its a damn rc car with a camera and microphone, though the screen resolution is a little low, its still bad ass. Its a hell of alot better than the RC warthog I bought by itself for 40 dollars awhile ago.

The maps are listed in the description as feature 1, so technically they should be there, though the woods outfit isn't listed. Considering he had 20 or so of them for sale I'd assume he'd get at least that much negative feedback if that was the case. Sellers with bulk negative feedback are a big red flag which they would likely try to avoid so you can hope they're in there.

We shall see, fingers crossed on $61 including the maps. They lasted like all day yesterday, but are now all sold on both eBay and Amazon.

Apparantly they're shipped from NoRam, which is where Amazon trade ins get shipped to, so odds are either that you'll be getting one that someone had traded in or they bought a bunch from someplace as a closeout in which case you might have a chance at the code. If so the item description is very deceiving, good luck man!

Also, the DLC code was facing me, rather than the Avatar.

The code was most likely used, right?

Was able to check if code was used or not, and wasn't.
PSN allows you to enter the code and then confirm download.
If code has been redeemed, it will tell you.

In the entire city of Las Vegas, I confirmed there are only 2 Prestige editions in stock...both of them at the Maryland Pkwy. location. One was on the floor and the other was on hold for me :D, I took the one that was the least damaged from all that spider wrap security. Got out for $72.xx after the 10% off coupon and a $5 RZ cert!

The other one...well....I kinda left it as a treasure hunt for another CAGer to find. I left it in the Wii section, in the corner behind a bunch of black Wii bundles. Bottom left. GOOD LUCK! Let me know if you scored it!

So sorry if the shape isn't the best...the other one was spider wrapped almost beyond recognition, it indented the box! But I confirmed that it is still factory sealed and the tape wasn't messed with, and that the contents were not damaged. So if you're gonna open it anyway the box won't matter much.
 
Found 1 360 version but the seal was broken. I didn't want to chance the code being used. This sucks. Anyone find any in jersey/philly?
 
Went into the Best Buy in Florida City Fl, and actually found one in stock there. This was after it showed they would not ship to store online. Tommorow I will check the other stores locally.
 
They've got a bunch here I'm in Richmond Va.. unfortunately no PS3 ones so just going to save my money for a better game.. that being KILLZONE 3!!!! in February
 
FYI for those who were interested in picking that pre-order bonus poster who didn't pick one up the first time around. I was able to get a copy for free just by showing my receipt to the guy at customer service.
 
went to a target and decided to stop at a nearby best buy and found one for 360...ended up buying it but not sure If I'm going to keep it yet
 
Was in town again today and got the last copy for ps3 on the shelves @ the Broadway location in Tucson. Didn't see it yesterday (box is beat up though, wonder if someone felt guilty and returned it) and they now have shit tons of AC Brotherhood CEs out, had to be 20+.

I think the PS3 version comes with game unsealed and code facing you. Mine came that way. But box is sealed with black tape strip from manufacturer

Is it possible to test the Xbox codes ahead of time just like PSN codes without having to actually redeem them?
 
Yes,if you enter the code through your xbox, it'll tell you what the code is after you enter it, you still need to confirm it before it is "used". If the code has already been redeemed, it'll tell you right after you enter it. DO NOT enter it that way at xbox.com, it automaticly redeems it when you enter the code.
 
You need to be very careful with the car, it feels like it will break with a really hard bang against something. The camera is pretty much useless but does what it's supposed to do. The controls have a delay of about 1sec to 1 and half seconds, so you need to kind of predict where your going to turn or your going to smash into something, meaning you need a lot of space.

The Car is cool for what it is and you really didn't get your money's worth just some really cool eye candy. If you want this to race and do stunts that is certainly not what it is for. If you want to scare the dog or the cat then this is right up your ally.

I'm not bashing it, I do like it and enjoyed it for the 15 minutes me and my daughter messed around with it but I feel bad for the people that actually payed $150 for this.

I deal with them at work and they seem to be pretty good company.

The video works well, but pretty low quality. You can not drive just by looking at the video feed unless you crawl at a stop and go pace. The audio picks up a lot of noise from the steering, but works ok as well. In no way is it a quality RC car, but you have to remember this is a cheap, but cool, pack in with the video game. The whole thing takes 12 AA batteries: 6 for the car and 6 for the remote. The are two settings for the speed of the car, high and low. I could never get the trim set just right, but the car barely pulls to the left now. I have three nephews under the age of five and I know they will love to mess around with it for a while.
 
What do you guys think? Black Ops Prestige or Halo Reach Legendary? Which one should I get? Based on the contents... I always wanted the Reach one. But RC car w/ camera plus the medal and a steelbook? That sounds awesome.
 
I have both and I'd say the Halo Legendary has better contents. The statue itself is pretty badass! I think I rather have the statue sitting on my shelf than the RC-XD. The RC-XD will get old pretty fast IMHO, its still cool though, and the steelbook is a plus. If I were ever to sell one, the RC would definitely go first.

Awesome. Thanks for the opinion. I'm a sucker for steelbooks but I think I'm gonna try to get the Halo Legendary. If I can't, I'll try to get the Prestige.
 
Some asshole opened up my prestige edition, used the zombie code and then sealed it back and returned it to best buy. I asked the BB cashier about the weird tape on top of the black tape and she said that it was fine and that they were very good at spotting things that were opened when taking in a return.

In hindsight the microsoft seal looked tampered with too.

Whoever that shady asshole was, I hope he dies in a fire.

Ouch. Although, that guy must be the ultimate CAG. Pure profit if the guy sold the code.
 
On a side note, I can buy 2 more copies of the PS3 prestige version, but I already have 5 rc cars sitting here in their boxes. Sold codes, game, and medals already, so just cars left. Should I make it 7 and do an ultimate demo derby?
