Playstation 3 Move Starter Bundle (w/Sports Champion game) is on sale for $79.99 with a $20 GC at BB.com.

Includes:
- Sports Champion Game
- Eye Camera
- Motion Controller

Deal is online at a minimum. Not sure if it is in-store but you can do an in-store pickup for this anyway when you purchase online. $20 GC will be added to your cart automatically when you're ordering online and gets shipped out to you.

Note that although the extra PS3 Navigation controller accessory is not required for every game, it is required for most. Nav controller is on sale for $20.99 at BB as well.

Update: Just FYI the PSN is back up and running for anybody that hadn't noticed and actually reads this OP :)

Hmmmm...yeah, I'd rather this in-store since you can get the gift card in hand instead of having it shipped out to you. Hopefully someone can verify if it works in-store.

EDIT: does anyone know if you can later have something price-adjusted/partially-refunded with a gift card? I know you can do that with RZ points, but I'm not sure about gift cards.

I've been debating the move for quite some time, and this is the best deal I've ever seen.
But I'm still debating.

FWIW you can try Sports Champion out and if you don't like it, trade it back in to BB for $20. Not sure if the UPC code would be on it since it's part of a bundle but some people have reported that their local BB's don't care about the case anyway.

Just called my local BB they said it doesn't say online only so they wouldn't have a problem pm'ing if it didn't scan correctly. Plus it may be easier to just deduct the $40 from the $100 instead of issuing a gc if the system doesn't take making it $60 + tax for the bundle. I'd be all over this if I didn't get the Socom 4 FDE for $60 + $25 credit @ BB($150-$90 in RZ certs).

FYI:the Move/Nav controllers are on sale $35 & $20

Sony is sneaky smart all of a sudden there's tons of PS3 deals too good to pass up across the board with many stores. This wave of move sales will allow the total to jump just in time for ther late may conference update & E3 & what better way to sway the fickle public than low prices lol

Yeah you can essentially pick up the entire move set for $80 + tax in 2 transactions. I'm tempted. Hopefully you can do it all in store...

You still need to buy the nav controller right? In order to fully use move. Only games I have for move are killzone 3, MLB 2011 and last years tw...

Yeah, if you're so inclined. The nav controller is 20.99 at BB too, so it can all be had for ~$80 + tax.

Almost debated posting a new thread for this entirely since most people look at the deals forum but decided not to - so anywho: PSN is back up ya'll. Frag ya later.

But it does give you the option of using two Move controllers. But for pretty much every other game I played it was required.

Of course, just my luck at the Emeryville, CA store. I've always had problems here. Eventually ended up on the phone for 20 mins so they can cancel my pick-up order. Ugh.

You will NEVER EVER need a Nav controller. Some games use it. Like SOCOM 4, Killzone 3, and RE5 Gold. But you can just use a DS3. It isn't the most comfortable option, but don't think you need to spend another $20-30 because you don't.

So has anyone have any luck seeing this deal/buying this in-store? I know you can do in-store pick-up, but I'd like to know if local stores will honor the online deal.

From Here

What if I find a lower price at another Best Buy store or on BestBuy.com?
If an item you purchased at Best Buy is advertised at a lower price at another Best Buy store in your local area or on BestBuy.com, we'll refund you the price difference from our own sale price during the exchange and return period on your product. Simply bring in your original Best Buy receipt to the customer service counter while that lower price is still in effect.

Clearly he had luck with that. And their in store policy is to match their online deals. It doesn't say online only so it will be matched per their own policy.

Also, as somebody mentioned above, you don't need the nav controller ever. Some games require the use of one but you can just use the regular dual shock controller for it. And I Dead Space Extraction doesn't require the nav controller if I recall so not every game requires the use of anything more than the move controller.

It's awkward as HELL to try and use a DS3 in one hand with the Move in the other. Playing Heavy Rain like that made me look and feel like an idiot. Granted, there's no genuine reason to even own a Move, but if you want genuine control in games that demand it, nav+Move is a must.

Were people watching you play or somethin?
I might have to pick this up along with another controller since it's $40.
How do you get to 40? Confused. Its 80 plus 20 dollar gift card so you can get it with nav controller for 80

I think they're assuming;
$80 for the bundle - $20GC - $20 trade in value of Sports Champions disc = $40
Were people watching you play or somethin?
I play in front a full-length mirror.

Also, the awkward movements that Heavy Rain already has were amplified x100.
Is the Sharpshooter on sale too? The only way I would ever use the move is with the sharpshooter on FPS's and TPS's.
Doesn't look like it. It's $40

I'll trade the game back in since it's $20 trade. I meant pick up another dualshock 3 controller since I heard you don't need a second NAV controller. I'm pretty sure there will be an awesome black Friday sale where some move games are $20.

Might be referring to the DS3's on sale for $40 but the blue & black DS3 are $36

hey hey thank you very much! I got it online in store pick up and then decided i wanted a second one and they PMed their website. Got the 20 gc on the spot and expecting the other one in the mail later. 5 star deal!

The Nav IS necessary if you have kids. My 2 sons were not able to play Move Heros b/c they couldn't 1 hand the DS3. Well technically they could hold it in 1 hand, but they couldn't hold it in such a way that they could play the game with it. We played the demo and I used the DS3 while they used the Move. Try that sometime. Not fun for anybody.

Man, if I take this deal, I can get the Move controller, Nav controller, PS Eye, and the Sharpshooter for only 57.74 after tax out of pocket. It's really tempting me because I can get Socom or Killzone free too. Is the Move experience worth it?

It's worth it if you got people to play with. I played sports champions, the fight and dance on broadway. Sports champions is fun but doesn't last long. Kinda like wii sports. The fight was a bit of a let down. It doesn't work as well as I thought it to be. Dance on broadway is the best so far....

I got a couple more games to try (cabelas, little big planet 2) it with so it was a good purchase for me. I doubt the price will be this good any time soon. Maybe after E3.

Yeah, but I'd only use the Move with the Sharpshooter for shooters. None of that other stuff matters to me. That's why it's a hard decision. If I knew that Battlefield 3 or COD: MW3 were to have Move support I would jump on the bandwagon right now without a doubt. I think I'll go check it out tomorrow if I have time. Does anyone know If BB refunds RZ credit if you decide to return a product?

Definitely takes some getting used to, but it's really hard to switch back to a DS3 once you get used to it. I played the SOCOM 4 beta with the Move and Sharpshooter, and it worked fine, the game itself is what turned me off most.

Like someone else said, you might want to wait till after E3 to see what other games that are coming out that it'll be compatible with. I know it's already been announced that Resistance 3 is going to be Move and Sharpshooter compatible though.

Good deal on this. I've been trying to wait the 2-3 weeks for a console deal on a PS3(E3), but I'm debating getting one, now, and price matching later. Just can't help feeling I'll miss out on some console deal extras!!!! Arrrrgggg!!!!! I have been buying PS3 stuff before I have my PS3 because of all these specials. I may get this bundle then take the gift card and get the navigation controller and wait a couple more weeks.

Thanks OP

I researched that TIV and it is $20. But it's the giftcard. They'll give you $13 cash. I'm going to try and trade in this not for resale sports champions tomorrow for the gc.

I'll take the gifrcard since I'm planning on picking up the blue PS3 controller. I think it's an awesome idea to invest in the controller and wait until you get a good deal on the games. Anyways GameStop has Sports Champions for $17.99 so you could trade that copy in and use the $20 giftcard. I mean it's a small flip but you can keep the new copy if you want.

To everyone who doesn't know. Gamestop is offering a B2G1 online only sale right now. Promo code MAY2G1. If you find a flippable game, choose 1 day shipping, and trade it in to BB when it comes in. You'd be looking at $15 to $20 in free BB cedit if you are looking to by this anyway.

For those of you considering trading in the bundled Sports Champion: The copy of the game included in the bundle doesn't have a UPC label (at least mine doesn't) so most places probably won't take it.

Yes they do, they even do partial credits if you buy more then one item using RZ money!
This is so tempting. I don't need it, I don't need it, I don't need it....
I'm in the same boat but I have gift cards to burn
I'm in the same boat but I have gift cards to burn
Nothing out now interests me. I wish I knew what else was coming out that is move compatible that could sway me one way or the other. Sorcery, child of Eden...what happened to those infamous 2 reports last year?

I can trade in Borderlands GOTY and Fight Night Champion for 55 in total credit. Then its under 30 with tax to get full bundle

I think I'm going to splurge: I have killzone 3, mlb 2011, top spin 4 and last year's Tiger Woods which are move combatable.

Amazon now has the Sports Champions bundle for $80 (no $20 GC though). They also have the Move controller for $35. GS has Sports Champions used for $15 (though not online, I'm guessing in part due to B2G1 offer on used games). GS B1G1 on Move games is down to 2 games now though, and buying a $40 game to get a free $20 game doesn't strike me as interesting.

BACK ONLINE! Going to order for in store pickup just in case I cant do it in store...want to trade in games towards it, guess i can do a return/rebuy
