Story-wise it's went downhill outside of the retrospective modes they used to feature (last gen had some good entries though), but as far as gameplay is concerned their realistic approach in recent years has made it a blast to play. Matches actually look like matches now with all of the great reversal and transitional animations, they just gotta work on speed and A.I.

2K18 has a great foundation and creation suite, but it's not a very good overall package, especially with its many technical issues.
