Yeah I thought it was going to be kickass too when I bought it at Best Buy for $50. The wheel just feels cheaply built, full of plastic and very light. It won't stay on your lap (there's nothing to secure the bottom with), and will not stay on any surface
 
I would read reviews on the wheel rather than listen to one guy's (lee7sauce) opinion. For $20 it's a nice wheel, I think that's what I paid for it awhile ago. Hard to get used to cause if "fights" you when turning. But play any racing game in first person/cockpit view and this wheel can be appreciated.

BTW OP, this is mentioned in the STICKY bout a week ago, thanx though
 
Its not a bad wheel, but it was not great. I picked it up at an EB sale a few months ago, but did not keep it long. It worked well for NFS and GT, but was horrible for Grid. Even calibrating, it would do nothing but left turns into walls.

Also may be an issue for some, but there is no battery option, so the wheel must be plugged into the wall.
 
I used to own the GT but couldnt justify keeping it as it was so expensive at the time. How crappy is this wheel in comparison? Is it worth it just to mess around once in a while?
 
Even with the bad reviews, it still seems like a decent deal for what it is. Thanks for post.

its a piece of crap compared to the microsoft wheel for the 360. i have both consoles and really wanted a nice wheel to play Gran Turismo with.

while it is a nice wheel comparing it to arcade wheels and ps1 stuff (lol) its really crap if youve ever used a high quality wheel. im holding off for the GT or that new 300$ one im hearing so much good stuff about.

If they can come out with an awesome $300 wheel and somehow, just somehow, I force my cheap ass to spend that much on a wheel I might be more into racing games.
