Yep, that bastion of impartiality, that stepping stone to Al Jazeera, the BBC admits to being left leaning communazis, promoting the homosexual agenda, and bashing the bible, all in the name of truth. If only the american media could admit the same.

Somehow I knew you lefty bastards wouldn't touch this one, kinda like dracula avoiding a mirror.

LONDON – The British Broadcasting Corporation has been struggling for several years against criticisms and claims of biased reporting concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and distorted coverage of the global fight against terror.

Following a diplomatic incident with Israel, the BBC appointed an editor known for his objective reporting, however, the true stance of the corporation’s editors remained the same.

An internal memo, recently discovered by the British media, revealed what the BBC has been trying to hide. Senior figures admitted in a recent 'impartiality' summit that the BBC was guilty of promoting Left-wing views and anti-Christian sentiment.

Fix your link.

I agree. The news is too biased in favor of minorities. We need more white supremacist points of view. fucking political correctness my ass; we need fair and balanced! We also need some queer-bashers on TV; there's too much of this liberal PC "all people should be treated with respect" garbage!

Let's just give the KKK an hour in prime time so you'll shut the hell up about bias.

The only credit I'll give you is that the media can be hypersensitive to the muslim community, and the "Room 101" vignette shows that. It's almost assuredly a contemporary crisis, as a result of the cultural conflict we seem to be stuck in. One with no easy solution, either, unless you support equal opportunity offending and the consequences it leads to (I wonder what kind of opinions you had when Newsweek was blamed for rioting and deaths a few years back).
Most executives admitted that the corporation’s representation of homosexuals and ethnic minorities was unbalanced and disproportionate, and that it leaned too strongly towards political correctness, the overt promotion of multiculturalism, anti-Americanism and discrimination against the countryside.
How sad. I am disappointed in the BBC.
For the purpose of illustration, the executives were given a scenario in which Jewish Comedian Sasha Baron Cohen would participate in a program titled ‘Room 101’, a studio program where guests would be asked for their opinions on different issues, and allowed to symbolically throw things they hated in a garbage bin.

The executives were asked what they would do if Cohen decided to throw ‘Kosher food’, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Bible, and the Quran in the garbage bin.

The executives said they would allow everything to be thrown in the garbage bin, save the Quran, for fear of offending the British Muslim community.
Hm....that, I can understand. The erroneous report of American soldiers flushing copies of the Koran down a toilet (by Newsweek, was it?) prompted riots & what was it now...I don't remember..half a dozen deaths?
According to the ‘Washington Times’, the BBC also reportedly revealed that its executives favored interviewing terrorist leader Osama bin Laden if the opportunity arose.
I admit that I would most likely watch such an interview, even though I would expect nothing more than misguided piety and self-righteous rhetoric.
Among other issues raised in the summit was the question of whether or not veiled women should be allowed to read the news. The BBC’s diversity editor said that since news anchors were allowed to wear crosses, any news anchor should be permitted to wear anything they wished, including the veil.
Eh....I have no objection to that rationale, actually. I suppose it should be all or none, and both have drawbacks. As long as they are consistent in adhering to one or the other, it seems reasonable, to me.
One senior BBC executive admitted to the ‘Daily Express’, "There was a widespread acknowledgement that we may have gone too far in the direction of political correctness. Unfortunately, much of it is so deeply embedded in the BBC's culture, that it is very hard to change it."
Okay....something is wrong. The quoted "transgressions" have struck me as minor. Either some truly damning quotes have been withheld (and why would they withhold more damning portions of this memo, if they're criticizing the BBC for it?) or the overblown interpretation of the memo's significance is sensationalistic hoopla.

Hmm...I personally enjoy listening to BBC News on NPR. I guess that further diminishes my conservative leanings...

Damn, and I racked up 1300XP by kicking Max Cleland out of office. Now I'm just a mage.

Well, as long as we're getting this info from a real impartial source like ynet, then it must be true. There's no axe to grind there, nosireebob.
Y promoting the homosexual agenda
I've always wondered what exactly that is.
