I spoke to a BBV "game expert" at length yesterday.

The highlight was being told that all Game Rush Blockbusters
ALWAYS have the T4G1F promo on. All you have to do is ask.

Can anyone back up this rep's claim?

Does everyone know this promo?
They used to advertise it I think. I've used it before - last year.
For those who never saw this deal.
The deal is this:

You give BBV 4 games that they can sell for $14.99 and UP.
And you get one new game in return. Not as good as EB's T3G1F right?
Yes and No.

There isn't a MINIMUM TIV for the BBV deal. The game could be worth $1
to EB and FS but BBV could sell it for $14.99 (Maybe not sell it, but price it!)

Example 1:
Wartech (360). EB sells it used for $4.99. They won't give you more than $1 for it.
But BBV sells that game for $49.99. They could give you $12 credit for it.
But you can use it as 1 in the T4G1F and now it's worth $17.50!

Example 2: Quake Wars (360). EB sells it used for $8.99. They give $4 TIV.
But if you take it to BBV they can either give you $7 TIV OR you put it in the T4G1F deal cause they sell it for $24.99.
Now it's worth $17.50 to you.

And you're half way to a new game.
Neither qualify for T3G1F and EB would've given $5.00 credit.
BBV would've given $19 credit. Instead T4G1F and take $35 towards a new game.

T4 is always on. As far as I know, though, the game's vary. That is to say, there isn't a "minimum" tiv a game has to has - it simply has to be on a list of qualifying games.

Hmmm sounds good. :) Can anyone confirm this? Also, how do I know which BBV are Gamerush or whatever? I hate talking to the one near mine, it's all know it all smelly ass nerds.

You can use the online store locator, it will tell you which ones are Gamerushes.

Also there has been much confusion in the past on which games qualified (a lot depends on the CSR).. sometimes it's 14.99 and up, sometimes it's over 14.99.

would you say the same rules as $10 Minimum Trade Promo applies here too:
a) can't already have too many copies
b) no sports games from last year and beyond

pretty funny part neksus.
while i was talking to the "game expert" at BBV about trade promos,
his co-worker walked over and wrote down the name of a website for both
of us to check out:
tivs.ca

i've been told at a number of blockbuster stores that a qualifying title needs to sell for MORE than 14.99 (which basically means sell for 19.99 or more) as a previously played game.

That is pretty funny. It happens to me when I go into FS every now and then. I haven't yet alluded to maintaining the site while in, as I'm afraid they may treat me differently (like not giving me values over the phone from EB)

u'll b lucky if u get a BBVworker to give u that t4g1f ...the game has to sell over 19.99 to qualify... too bad they don't have a min TIV credentials like ebg, much easier there imo , i haver NEVER seen a copy of wartech at ebg..but i've seen alot of them turds at bbv for 49.99 lolz

when i asked him how he heard about this "interesting" site he said he heard about it when he worked at EB! i was tempted to ask him if he was on RFD but i decided not to ruin a good conversation. ;)

EDIT: So is it $19.99 MIN Sale price?

The promo binder says "at least $14.99 and up", so it can either mean $14.99 or $19.99, depending on the CSR, but if you know how to read it says it has to resell for $14.99, no where does it mention the number $19.99
