Wow I'm surprised Lego Star Wars II: OT is BC. I thought that they would want us to have no choice but to buy the 360 version.

I was also hoping PoP 2/3 would be updated this time as well.
 
Thats an alright list... I can play counterstrike now tho so thats good. I just really really really want 2-D fighters BC'd already but that seems like gonna be a lenthy process :(
 
well, the only thing I might be happy with is Mortal Kombat Deception... in relating news, the fact that Deception is working now means that MK Armaggeddon will work on the 360 since it runs on the Deception game engine.

Well let's see we can pay an extra $10 for better graphics (they're legos so how much better can it get anyway) and achievements, hmm tough decision.
 
Links is a major victory for me.

I was afraid that the franchise was dead and would not be playable on the 360 after Take Two disbanded Indie Built.
 
At this rate, hopefully we'll see one before the end of the year with Psychonauts.

(and if we get super lucky, one of the 2-d fighters. hell, I'd take SvC chaos at this point.)

heym any 2d fighter xbox title working on a 360 is good news, no matter which game it is.
 
I'd like to see a better list. I'd like to know which games play like you're playing on an original Xbox. I've heard nothing but complaints about how BC games are very choppy on the 360. I'm not taking the plunge until I know that the BC games are well emulated. Oh yeah, and let's get some 2D fighters. I'd settle for even SamShoV or Neowave at this point. You can keep SvC, Apossum!:whistle2:# I might boycott the 360 if Microsoft had the audacity to BC that game and leave Anniversary collection and Guilty Gear off the list.

Sweet, I was going to sell Fatal Frame 2 until I saw this. Still would like to see Psychonauts & Psi Ops on there.

I already sold Burnout 3, so I'll just pick up Burnout Revenge on 360 when it's $20 (I'll be patient). I'll pick up Gauntlet if it's ever $10 or less as I loved playing some of the earlier games and it was fun at a friend's house.

Only games I have left that aren't BC are Phantom Dust and Riddick. I'm finished with the old Xbox (I don't really play Halo any much either). The 360 games have been great, so I don't need to go out and buy last gen games. For the people that own a bunch of games and want to play them, I hope they keep working on BC and get some more key games in.

None of those are OMG AWESOME worthy, but Burnout 3, Cthulhu, CS and FF2 is cool, plus big bonus points for them re-adding MK Deception.

Current count (my collection):

360 BC games: 42
XBox-only games: 56

Keep it coming, MS.. let's nail out some huge ones like Area 51, Beyond Good and Evil, Indigo Prophecy, Psychonauts and Chronicles of Riddick.. you know, games people actually want to play.
 
I only own two of the games on that list (and it seems like a lot of the games are pretty mediocre), but it's nice to see such a big list since I seem to remember the last update being much smaller.
 
Hold on, they make All-Star Baseball 2005 back-wards compatible (and update 2003) but MVP Baseball 2005 (the best baseball game around in my opinion) isn't on the list yet?

At this point the only games I have that I wish were BC are MVP, MGS2 Substance, and Panzer Dragoon Orta. Once (and if) those are finally BC I'll probably pack up the Xbox for good.

Not necessarily. If that were the case, MK: Deadly Alliance would already be on there.
 
Guess I'll have to pick up Counterstrike from CC for 8.98. Also maybe have to get Dead to Rights. I had rented, but never beat it. I kind of liked it. Mercenaries better be on the next one. I can't wait to play that again.

I am thinking about picking up all three Splinter Cells, Star Wars Battlefront II, Counterstrike, and possibly Half-Life 2.
 
No matter what they do, someone will not be happy with the list... we've already been over the whole issue of why this game isn't on the list and why that one is... if anything, be happy that the updates seem to be more frequent and adding more titles. Yes, Mr John Q Gamer, we know you own every single last Xbox game ever released and you'll be stoked that you get a few to work in the update but be damned if certain ones don't. I take BC like this: if I wanted to play a certain game, I already did - when I had an Xbox. Now I understand some games are keepers from Xbox 1, I get that... but I'm more than fine waiting for them to keep working on BC and the eventual goal of all compatible. What, no Panzer Dragoon this update? Geez you all suck... I'll never play my 360 UNTIL you fix that... or I'll be sensible, enjoy what's available now and when PDO (or insert game title here you've been waiting on) is BC, I'll be happy... Soapbox done... :)

The 360 (and PS3) version going to have Half Life 2, Half Life 2 Episode 1, Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.

You serious? It's coming to 360 along with Episodes One and Two and Team Fortress 2, and Portal, which is an entirely new game.

inexcusable that chronicles of riddick has not gotten on that list....widely regarded as one of the top ten games for xbox...fucking inexcusable

Geez... dissapointed again. I guess I'm still waiting on Mercenaries, Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil, Conker, Unreal Tournament 2, Chronicles of Riddick, MORROWIND and some other hot games I can't think of right now.

You think MS would at least get their own games running on the 360... not having Conker on this list yet is inexcusable. I have a feeling we will never see Morrowind due to how unique and complex the engine is.

I'll just pass the time playing Aquaman and Maximum Chase, with a little bit of Trigger Man and All Star Baseball 2003 thrown in.
