BC list updated

Nice to see MS is working on BC despite the lack of real good titles, although Counter Strike is pretty huge.

And so what HL2 is coming out in a big bundle pack? There is no release date on it, it could be Xmas of next year. HL2 can be had cheap, and if they improved it enough (which im about to find out soon) It is probably worth the $10 or so it goes for.

People actually liked Conker? That game made me feel empty inside; paid full-price for it...

Lego Star Wars II? So does that mean we could use our Lego Star Wars I saved data in part II, if we beat the game again on the 360?

Decent update, now I can snag Fatal frame 2 and Counter-strike (Greatest game on Live EVER). Too bad I just sold Pirates (after never getting the chance to play it) and "fuckING A!!" for the fact that Silent Hill 2 is still not on the list :(

Rogue Trooper is a fun game if you can find it....And I'm sure im the only one, but I think Serious Sam is nice to have BC.

I'm pretty sure they said the release for it was going to be the same time as the release of Episode 2 on the PC, so it's within the next 6 months or so.

I'm just happy they're still updating. Nice to see FF2. Still hoping for PoP2/3, Beyond Good and Evil, Deus Ex, Indigo Prophecy, and Metal Slug 4 &5.
Wheres Psychonauts :headache:.
My thoughts too, also Beyond Good and Evil still has not made it I think.

Man I can't believe I haven't seen anything besides the links you guys gave me for half life 2. I get three gaming magazines (Game Informer, OXM, EGM)and can't remember seeing anything about it in any of them.

However, if it is going to take as long as everybody is saying, than I probably will just pick it up at CC for 8.98 along with CounterStrike.

P.S. Already asked this, but didn't get any answer. Does GS/EB have any deals on used games currently?

I only have one game that I can now play on my 360 as a result of this update (MK: Deception). I'm not mad, however, as this does show that they are working on adding more games to the BC list. Moreover, they're adding future Xbox releases to the list (someone must have showed them sales numbers of recent Xbox titles!).

It's a positive sign, and maybe I'm dreaming if I think that we may see another update before the end of the year.

Look at it this way (I can't believe I'm thinking like an optimist this morning): there are only so many shitty titles out there to make BC, that eventually they're gonna have to stop updating "Sneakers" and start adding "Psychonauts."

They usually finish the issues a month ahead of the current issue. I bet that all three will have a story on it in the October issue.

As for the BC list, I didn't notice until now. But there's a fucking mahjong game for Xbox?
What the hell, how can Japan have 100% backward compatability and we don't?
pwnt.

Well, not here in the States, but Japan has a couple of mahjong games for Xbox.

I'm over BC personally. Reason being is that for example, I'm not gonna go and reunlock everything in something like Deception again. If there were a way to allow you to transfer saves, then I'd be a little more concerned

They have till PS3 release to make Capcom and SNK BC. If not, thats when I trade it in for a PS3.I hate to do it, as much as I love Xbox... but I just cant deal with the lack of BC titles as I'm narrowing down to one system + Wii.I wanted to go Wii60, but BC is really whats keeping me from it.

Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball is fully backward-compatible. Single player, Live, etc. I talked with someone who works at MGS and he said they'd get it added to the list.

Call of Cthulhu has been BC. That was the first xbox game I played on 360 at launch, and it ran great so I wonder why it got put on there again.

I'll pick up Rogue Trooper now if I see it for around 9.99, and maybe counterstrike since I see so many people praising it in here and it's cheap.

Well I got to try out a few games that were added to the list. Good news for all except one title, and unfortunately probably the most anticipated one :(

Pirates: Someone didn't do a good job here. The videos stutter as does the action on the seas. When you sail around theres a slight delay, and it's extremely noticeable on the intro videos.

Burnout 3 ran flawlessly. Didn't test the online though.
MK Deception ran even better then It did on the OG Xbox. I still can't get myself to start all over again to unlock the characters though.
Links worked flawlessly and I was smiling with glee over it.
Counterstrike seemed to work just as well as the XBox version. Didn't notice any real enhancements in terms of frame rate or graphics tho.
Half-Life 2 looks even better graphically, It's very noticable now compared to the XBox running it. It looks very clean.
However, the frame rate still bogs down on long draw distance areas (When you start the game and are fleeing, etc.).

I'm going to test Fatal Frame 2, The Suffering and Serious Sam eventually and I'll update my post when I get around to it. Unfortunately Pirates was my most anticipated title besides Counterstrike, and MS managed to ruin the emulation. I'm expecting a update on Pirates down the road.

I'll probably pick up Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows and Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth now that they are running on the 360 (the later better) has anyone tried Gauntlet yet?

This fucking sucks noodles. Didn't they already have it on there once and take it off because they couldn't get it right then?

as long as they have mk armegeddon (sp?) workin when it comes out then i will be happy

gimme fukkin shenmue and espn nfl 2k5 dammit

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a definitive website that describes in more detail how well these BC games work? Found some BC games cheap and wanted to know if they work well enough before I decide to pick them up.
why is deception on this list but not deadly alliance?
Only thing I can think of is because of the online play.

Deception is the one with online play.

Played CS for the first time in over a year yesterday. Emulations near perfect, only a few wierd glitches in the loading screens, they seem to disapeer and are replaced with a black screen with only the loading bar visible. Otherwise the game is pure online perfection

I know its the one with online play. Thats why I said that why its probably BC. Weren't a lot of people screaming for Deception to be BC anyhow?

Either way, I could care less. I have almost everything unlocked on my original xbox, no way am I gonna be bothered to do it all again. The lack of being able to transfer saves is why I don't even care about BC anymore. All I have to do is swap the optical audio cord between my 360 and original, that and inputs. Though lately, I'm just swapping the component cables and getting the audio thru my TV from my original xbox. Too much of a hassle to swap the audio cord all the time because where I have my systems is hard to see and even harder to feel which way the cord goes...

I know what ya mean. I wonder if there's a licensing issue with CvS2 or if they just think it'll take away from SF2 sales...

I picked up True Crime: NY only to see that it was LA that was backwards. Even for $5 I had to grab the craptastic game. Doh! Pays to read twice.

Is it me, or is the lighting in CS very schizophrenic? Like in Dust 2, I cant even see inside long A tunnel from T spawn. Even the entrance to B tunnel, I cant even see inside from t spawn either, but when I go to mid from cat, its bright like no other.
