Become a Test Subject for an ARG

i'm irked i saw the package in Nashville i could of got if my retarted gps didn't take me past the place. GAHHH so close.. *cries* oh well guy who got it seemed cool enough.. *sigh*
 
That current video creeps me out a little bit. I wonder what's in that briefcase in the video the woman is carrying, though. Maybe it well be revealed when all the packages are claimed in the different cities.

Guys, there's no way that this can be for gum. This is too big, well thought out, and cool! I mean, look at that Icefly thing! There's no way a company is going to spend this much marketing gum. You'd have to be insane!!!

Maybe the gum is a cross-promotion?

They were giving out free Stride at MLG Columbus and they're one of MLG's main sponsors. I know that sounds small but it means they're throwing money at the game industry, which would explain the presence of the envelope iJustine's friend found at E3.

Still confused over Bonnaroo, though.
 
Last location, LA, was just put up so hopefully the video should be complete soon & maybe gave people more of a clue of what this is about.
 
A theory for my non-gum feelings: The fact that the QR Code leads to Test Subjects Needed makes me NOT believe this is about gum. Why would they make the QR Code and ARG about a product that they're already selling? This could be some other company getting sponsor or help by 5 Gum though.

Dissapointed to say it, but I'm definitely sold on this being a gum promotion. Above the QR code the icefly is the same as the packages sent out. Now I can just hope this is a cross promo with Halo 4 :D
 
That and everything, including the video is all about senses. Literally everything is pointing to 5 gum. It's still interesting, though, and I plan to stick it out.

LMAO, I hope that's not all it is. Seeing that countdown clock, mystery door in the middle of nowhere in the ice, guy using a keyboard in the truck & John Locke reminded me of Lost. The video has got me more excited in what this is & a little nervous since the video keep saying things about the 5 senses which fits with 5-gum. Maybe if were lucky it is a Lost, 5-Gum with a great game ultimate cross promotion. :)
 
Who would go out and buy gum after this? Awesome campaign, but I don't see myself buying any. I dunno. It seems way too elaborate to just be for that. *crosses fingers*

if all this is really for gum, i'm going to buy a pack because this is bad ass marketing lol. I really hope all this elaborate marketing is more for gum though. It's pretty cool. Who ever came up with it deserves a huge raise and a bonus lol.

Agreed about the raise part. Has anyone seen this on the news or anything? Just sort of wondering how widespread it is. Maybe it's only geeks who find it cool, haha. I showed it to my brother over Google+ tonight and he said he thinks it is either a game or movie.

If you check the profile you signed on with there's now a barcode but I don't think it's a QR code. Anyone have success getting it read and finding out where it leads?
 
As long as nobody comes to my house and stabs me I guess Idc what it is. it'd be cool if it was halo4 but that's over a year away. and if it's gum, honestly il prob stick with stride; if it ain't broke don't fix it lol but il give this one a chance at least once. I mean I guess I'm not expecting anything more than gum, so if it's something cooler than a lousy stick of freakin gum then it will be a pleasant surprise for me

With my image, there's a tiny square with a dot. Doing a quick Wikipedia check, that would be the the bottom right quadrant of a version 2 or better QR code. Anybody have a QR code that has a larger square with a smaller black square in the middle in any of the corners? If any of you have the other corners, I think we can combine our QR codes to summon Captain Planet.

I've got the same QR image as Woody, so I don't think that is a clue quite yet, though could be wrong. My image set is of Facility 01 with 5 different images with text.

If gum commercials were to be believable, every time I chewed a piece there'd be rainbows in the sky, my breath would shoot out frost, and I'd be thrown into some test chamber and shooting colors out of my fingers. :lol:

So that was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but I won't be shocked if this is just to advertise gum. However, I doubt we're going to win a pack of gum as a grand prize at the end after all of this effort they spent on an ARG.
