Before I waste $40 on a USB PC gamepad...

you could pick up one of those SF controller and a usb to ps2 controller converter and have similar result.
 
The thing is, no PS2 controller would (conveniently) give me the six-button action I need. Saturn/genesis rules.

Now, if there was a Saturn to USB adapter... but I'd still have to locate a new Saturn pad.

you can try using one of these with your convertor when it comes out....
seeing those logos together makes my head spin....
