Berserk Box Set

The VGM

I'm looking to get the best deal on the Berserk box set with episodes 1-25. The only place I've seen it at was Best Buy for $56. Please don't say Ebay because they sell bootlegs on there (believe me I know).

No they are not always bootleg. Products do get release a lower price in some place.

Also, I have yet to see a Berserk set on ebay for less than $40 that is not a bootleg. Hell, I just went on there and saw two sets for under $20. One by Manga International and one by Anime Cartoon. Both of those companies are known Taiwanese pirates.

*Manga International should not be confused with the legit American company, Manga Entertainment, Inc.

Link?

For what? The bootlegs? I'm confused.

Also, there is one by FX, another pirate company. FX always does great artwork for their DVD case though.

Okay first off do you want the actual box set with 6 separate DVD cases or just the collection? Because there's actually two different ones Also as far as the collection goes Valor's right, I got mine from deepdiscount for $54 and that's about the cheapest I've seen. I didn't even know Best Buy had it for $56, that's pretty good...

The one I saw at Best Buy was all in one box and it said 6 DVD's on the back.

And I would like the link to the real one on Ebay.

Those are some apparently legit ebay ones, the 1st is the box of War set and the second is the complete collection.

I got a non bootleg copy of Beserk off ebay about a year or so ago for 25 bucks. You can find them every now and then, just try looking through the ENTIRE list rather than the "featured" items or whatever's on top.
I hated the ending to that anime. I also hated alot of endings in anime.
Maybe because they never got to finish the series...the manga is still going but the TV series was effectively cancelled.

Man I was like WTF!!!!!!! That can't be the end! But I liked the series alot.

If you do end up getting the DVDs, I would suggest you try to get the manga scans to continue the story. Just a suggestion.

If you are going to watch the TV series, you have to continue with the manga afterward. Especially because berserk only gets better as it goes on.

i agree. when i finished watching berserk and discovered there was manga...i got them all and read through about 11 years worth of berserk (only 2 books come out a year) in about a week.

The anime is only the tip of the iceberg. Its merely the "origin story". It's like only watching the samurai X ovas and not actually seeing the rest of kenshin.

also as of volume 25 or so...the author Miura said hes only now getting to the "main story". now thats freakin epic
Those cost a shitload. Which would you reccomend?
Well I only own one, but I'm pretty sure they are the same thing, one just has fancier packaging with six separate dvd cases and such. They're even done by the same company so there's no differences in the actual discs I don't think.

That said just buy the Complete Collection brick (all 6 discs in one case) for $50-60 and save yourself the trouble of hunting down the actual box set for probably more money.

Hmm, guess I came in kind of late. But let me add this, GET THE BOX OF WAR, every berkserk fan should have that and the two Berserk video games. The brick/cake set which is usually around $60-70, is nothing compared to the greatness of the Box of War. BERSERK RULES WHOOO!
