Yea, that is it, thanks.  I guess its a few bucks cheaper than normal.  I always loved the R6 games on 360 so I guess I'll pick this up.  I was in the beta but never really played it much.  What does everyone that has played it think?

Just wanted to point out, I was correct. If the points haven't posted to your account, that purchase isn't factored into what you spent yet. Had 4000 points posts today. Now I'm 170 away from Elite Plus but still have Rainbow Six pending. Still need to spend about $120, to keep Elite Plus.

Or he could use the buy 2 get 1 next week and then trade... would hit it easily. That is if the trade values hold at at least $35 for some of the newer titles.

$51 + $51 = $102 - $38.5 - $38.5 - $38.5 = $13.5$ profit and they would hit elite plus.

 
Generally, if Best Buy is going to cancel your order because of insufficient stock, do they cancel it during "processing" status or "preparing for shipment" status?

I ordered an item last night that I was surprised they had in stock, and for some reason it only came up under a google search. Actually searching BBY's site yielding no results. Even putting the SKU # into the search bar yielded no results. But I found the item with a google search and it said in stock, and I placed an order, and an hour later they changed it to out of stock. It's in preparing for shipping status though. Just wondering if it'll be cancelled.

My copy of until dawn's tracking number shows that it has been in my city since Saturday and they still haven't brought it to me. All my other games came in Monday.

I love it. I haven't enjoyed an R6 game since Vegas, but this is so good.

 
I'm not seeing the extra $5 offer for The Division on the site.  The pic posted said it was good until the 5th.  Did it end early?

 
Was the extra 5$ for the Division ever posted at any point? I don't feel like pre ordering this early and having credit tied up , but the extra 5$ would be worth it .

I looked in the weekly ad online and didn't see it. I pre ordered anyway and screen capped the pic in the op just in case. Tomorrow is the 5th so today would be the last day for the extra 5$ for anyone on the fence about it .

e: oh, I get it. Because Vegas 1/2 are the last ones to come out. For some reason I was thinking Lockdown came out after that. Dunno why. I guess it's just been long enough that I figured there had to be some shitty R6 games released in the intervening years.

i got 500 points for Rainbow Six and I spent the points on B2G1 today, and also returned my Rainbow Six game today. what will bestbuy do? do they ban me? or just make my points go -500 negative. anyone do this before and know what happens? thanks

I pre-ordered Halo 5 and I returned it within the same week it came out and still got my 500 points. I haven't even used them yet but they are still on my account. You should be fine.

Amazing. If you played Xenoblade Chronicles, you'll see a lot of similarities with the combat. Learning curve is crazy so far, but arguably the best looking Wii U game out there. Easily 100+ hour game.

Didn't see any info about a few things in the OP but I had a couple of questions on this process:

  • Are games chosen on the basis of whatever BB wants to promote? i.e. not every game that becomes possible to pre-order will feature a $10 reward cert incentive. 
  • Does BB typically extend the promotion on the pre-order up until the game is released, or is it only available for a few weeks and then rotated out? I ask because I'm wondering if it was ever available for Uncharted 4 (releases March I believe) and to know if you have to be quick to jump on this stuff.
Guess I'll have to remember to check back on this thread or always check BB for upcoming games I'm interested in.

not every game usually just what Best Buy and the publisher agree on.

Nintendo exclusives are never part of it and usually either are Sony exclusives. It usually multi platform games or Xbox exclusives
 
If I had to guess these seem to be publisher subsidized since some publishers never are a part of it.  Like Sony published exclusives never seem to be a part of it but MS published ones often are (Forza, RotR, and Halo just recently even).  There's another big publisher I'm blanking on that doesn't seem to wait to play ball either.

I don't think anything's ever taken off until it's released and you can get the cert for pre-ordering any time up to when it's considered released in the system.
