I'm not speaking for myself, but some people might prefer the ease/convenience of trading the game in for credit that's not very much less than what they could have sold it for after fees (e.g., $43 GC vs. ~$47 after fees).

As for returning it, you'd miss out on the $10 in points for preordering; if you factor that in, selling on eBay/Amazon or trading in the game to Best Buy would result in a slight profit.

yea I would just trade it in and make a dollar or two (factoring in the pre order bonus) if I got that digital glitch on ps4 (more than 10 if you got the trade in coupon). Is the 4 dollar difference really worth packing, driving to ship it (not to mention if it was free shipping it will be a few more bucks to ship) and have a chance of getting ripped off on ebay when you can just take it to best buy and be done with it, zero risk. Granted you're stuck with a BB gift card but that can always go towards anther game.

Have you gotten anything from the Quartermaster, I just met him for the first time, but no dockets or anything, just pipe and medkit

 
I didn't check yet if they included the $5 deposit when I picked up Dying Light, what was the expected total supposed to come out after using the coupon?

did you link your gamertag/psn/steam name?

Maybe it will pop up later on the quartermaster should have the dockets in the inventory that you redeem for a random weapon. It also pops up while playing from time to time reminding you that you have dockets to redeem.

Got it. Thanks gentlemen. Got my 10 preorder dockets.

 
Yet again, I had to deal with not getting my $5 deposit off my preorder.  I did not discover it until looking at the receipt on the way out & had to spend another 25 minutes getting it straightened out.  The cashier wound up post voiding the prior transaction and reinputting the transaction again with the register screen turned so I could see the steps she was taking.  This is after taking a pen and paper & doing the math for her to demonstrate that the $5 was not deduced.

I just hope that the My Best Buy certificate is A-OK after all the shenanigans and hoops I had to jump through.  I love the extra discount, but I hope BB has future promotions on BB.com as well....

Cool to see MKX on the list.  I planned on getting the game either way but it is definitely an added bonus.  Really surprised they havent announced any CE/TE's yet.

Has anyone ever tried switching their in store preorder on pickup?  I mean going from PS4 to xbox one for example.  Dying Light is still not up on the tradein site, since the 30% bonus ends this saturday and i doubt they will change TIVs it won't really be worth it if I don't pick it up today or tomorrow.  Could pick up the xbox one version but my preorder deposit is for PS4 version, not sure if that will screw me out of the $10 RZ bonus or not.

I think if you just go buy the Xbox version you'll still get the Cert. As long as you have a preorder for the game and then purchase that game during release week. I could be wrong though. Or go pick up your order then exchange it for the XBox version.
 
We rag on BBY  a lot but I gotta say I found all my interactions with them great.  Went in today to pick up Dying Light, told the girl that I would prefer to get the xbox one version instead of PS4 (my preorder) and if there was any way to do that.  She checked with her manager, they wanted to first do a return/rebuy but I said that would probably cancel my preorder 500 points reward zone preorder bonus.  

No problems at all though, they just took $10 off the price instead and I walked out paying $32.xx ($29.99+tax) after $10 coupon, GCU discount, and manager override $10 discount to replace the RZ bonus.    I don't think I'll be getting the $10 RZ points but thats fine with me, I'd rather have $10 off the game.

Probably means Dying Light PS4 will be up in trade in tonight since I went through an extra few hoops to get xbone version, but still I am really happy with my Best Buys customer service unlike Gamestop, where things rarely go right.

Well I finally got around to trying out dying light today. I think I'm gonna trade it in tomorrow. So far it has exactly what I hated about sunset overdrive. Its all just been fetch quests where I go one place, do something, then do something else.

Yeah I hate fetch quests but since Im playing through the whole thing with 2 friends Im having more fun with it then I typically would. I'll beat it and then trade it in when The Order comes out.

Yeah coop would be fun but unfortunately the friends I play with the most are still insanely obsessed with destiny along with my brother, so no one wanted to consider buying it. I really wanted to like it but I gave up on sunset after a few hours so I'm not giving this that much
 
I'm hoping for early reviews on the order before I jump in. Money is tight with Batman, uc4, Metal Gear and battlefront coming out this year.

I hope I get mine in time to pre order evolve, if not it'll prob be sitting there until Witcher 3 or batman. (maybe hardline but idk about that, wanna check out that beta before I decide)

Dying Light is my GOTY for sure even though I've only played for 10 minutes.  Had similar experience as you, just sold my preorder code for $22 on eBay (it sold like within 30 minutes of being listed!!) and got in on the $20 GS glitch, although I traded my copy into Best buy for $43 (i hate dealing with shipping stuff) and you'll also get a couple hundred points for buy/trade/pre-order.

I just don't get why people buy costume pack DLCs on ebay, especially in a FPS where you literally never even see your character.  Oh well, people's quirks are great!

i traded in too, but unless you are a power seller, the fees and shipping make it fairly even anyway.

This is probably true but my closest BB is 40 minutes away and the post office is only 2 minutes away. This is really the only time I've ever used eBay. I didn't realize they put a hold on the funds from the sale, but it's just money I'm going to save in PayPal anyways. I never knew preorder codes sold for so much though, normally I never even use them lol.

Also the Season Pass looks like it has nothing of value really. I also seen one sell for $22, which is crazy since it's only $20 on PSN or Xbox Live.

yeah, just checked out the season pass and it is pretty weak, wish i had read that before i redeemed it. 2 new missions, 3 outfits and 4 blueprints and some kind of horde mode.

I remember when Dead Rising 2 came out...I sold the Best Buy sports costume pre-order code on ebay for $33, then it was available in the PS store for $.50 a couple weeks later

I got lucky but prepare for the charge backs! Lol jk

I like using the ninja costume...people always ask about it when I jump into random games
