Went into grab Madden 2016 UE and said all out, so they allowed me to downgrade to Vanilla and gave me a $30 GC for hassle, so I picked up GOW UE for 1.99.  After the Madden 15 trade last week and this they actually paid me $15 to play Madden this year.

UPDATE 8/26-checked my email today and got an email from BB giving me a code to Download your 10 Pro Packs and the Playmaker Pack for Madden Ultimate Team ($15 Value).  This deal overall was amazing!

In store preorders can get lost in the shuffle if the employees don't label them with names. I prefer to order online so that they set it aside. I've had hiccups with in store preorders in the past, but never had any issues with online orders being lost before. The worst I ever dealt with was that my preorder was delayed by a couple of days in the rare circumstance. Even then though, the store had its entire LE order delayed so it wasn't like the in store preorders were given any priority - they had theirs delayed as well.

That was one thing I was impressed with at the MS Store when I picked up Gears yesterday: they had a copy of my preorder slip taped to the game waiting for me.

As opposed to BB with Madden where they just went and grabbed a copy from the shelf.

Yeah it depends on the Best Buy store. One store I go to does not label their preorders with the customer's name while the other one does. I think for games that come with LE versions, that's a really bad idea to not label and set them aside. The one store I'm referring to that didn't label my preorder was for my Arkham Knight midnight launch. Customer service employees were grabbing games all over the place and they told me later on that they oversold a couple of LE's =\. The other store I go to that I usually pick up my online preorders for had everybody's name set aside for their Batman games when it came out.

If you dont me asking have you been emailed your pre-order bonus multiplayer skins yet? I also pre-ordered from the MS store but havent received them as of yet.

 
I was just able to preorder Guitar Hero Live. They fixed the issue where it was forcing you to pick up the free Mic from 100+ miles away.

I guess it varies, i have destiny on disc and it gets to the norm sounding fan while gaming. Guess it just depends on the game not if its disc or downloaded.

thanks for the update, hopefully it will still be working until i get my $10 from madden. that will put me at $115 in reward certficates and ill get the 2 guitar version for $5.

 
I got the email today with my $10 coupon for pre-ordering Madden, but when I go to apply it online I get this error - You don’t have any reward certificates yet. But each purchase gets you closer!

 
 
Hmm, I think maybe the loose disc shipping claimed my first game or maybe I just got a bad disc. My One Piece disc was loose and has a bunch of small scruff marks around the outer edge. 

After it installed, my disc drive went bonkers starting and stopping the disc from spinning and making some horrendous noises. I guess that's during the period after the installation bar completes but it's still reading the disc and installing whatever.

It installed fine, and I was able to start the game...but the intro cut scenes would pause and black out during the spin downs. Once I got to start the actual gameplay the fan kicked into a new gear I've never heard before.

Strange thing is that BB still lists it as a pre-order online and as well as all the in-store stock. 

Madden also came loose in the case...but no marks on the disc, and it installed fine.

I've been debating Guitar Hero since it was announced. I'm picking up Rock Band for sure though. I'm wondering if the RB Guitar will work with GH: Live, since GH is different now I'm guessing no. Not sure I want all those instruments around the house. If I do preorder GH, I might end up getting the two guitar bundle, have they announced the standalone guitar yet? On topic of GH, I did see a pretty cool accessory for it, it was a stand and charger for the guitar. Seemed like a pretty decent idea.

Speaking of Rock Band, apparently the Xbox One version will cost more(standalone) then the PS4 version. Xbox will need an adapter for instruments to connect to console, however on Playstation it just works. Not sure if this is for the old instruments only or if it's the case for all instruments.

The new instrument bundle will cost the same. If you are wanting to buy just the standalone game then the XB1 version is $20 more due to the adapter required to make the old instruments compatible.

I remember in a gameplay video at e3 or Gamescom, the guy said the time to complete is completely up to your decisions. He said it could only be 2hrs or it could be 10hrs. Also there's no right way or wrong way to play, if everyone dies, that's the story you told. The outcome will always be different based on choices.

While I haven't opened my copy yet(trying to finish Arkham Knight), I am excited to play this game. For the people that played so far, without spoiling anything, is all of this true?

No, if you kill a character then you won't get a gameplay section but if you rush and kill, you will still spend 6 hours playing.

Recently Best Buy has been having a glitch of sorts on a lot of preorders where in your order history they will show up as backordered, even though in some cases they were ordered weeks or months in advance and in other cases the items are still available for preorder on the website. I believe people have contacted customer service about them and they have stated that the items are not showing up as backordered to customer service. In my experience, the Mad Max steelbook went to backordered in my order history a few days after I ordered it, had a backordered status for about a week, then recently went back off backordered status a few days ago. I think it is just a glitch the site as a whole has been having with preordered items. Guess we will find out if I get my Mad Max steelbook in a few days.

 
Haven't got my cert for madden yet, I've never pre ordered a game that comes with one before, how long does it usually take? I did the madden 15 trade in deal, that shouldn't have knocked me out of it should it?

It can take up to 15 days I believe, and no the trade in shouldn't affect the cert as long as you still preordered the game.
 
Couldn't do an in-store even exchange on a $30 game from the glitch. They said I'd have to pay the difference ~$18 and then take it up with customer service via phone.

In my case they were trying to put in an order since it was out of stock...but she said it would be the same thing even if they had it.

Anyone else go through this with any sort of resolution? I figure this is too much hassle at this point given various circumstances, and I'll just try cleaning/fixing my messed up disc.

If it was an exchange for the SAME game, then that is some BS. I would just call the website people and tell them it arrived damaged. And the store had no copies to exchange. They should send a replacement and give you a return label for the one you have.

Yeah, same game. She seemed like she wanted to be helpful but said the register just wouldn't let her do it without me paying the difference and showed me the screen that had a lot of square button options that seemed all greyed out (presumably including the adjust price option).

I actually went to the store b/c that's what phone customer service told me to do. They didn't offer to send me a replacement, and they knew that the store near me was OOS and I'd have to order in-store.

The glitch price causing extra problems aside, even without it, I would of had to make two trips to Best Buy and wait a week to get my replacement. If it really was all b/c of the loose disc...I guess it's back to doing store pickups.

ya got mine already pending as well looks like they finally figured out how to have their system recognize a pre order pick up that has a bonus $10 cert. on the original purchase receipt instead of it going back thru later and awarding the $10 separately.

 
So according to OP you have to preorder by 3pm CT the day before release to get the cert. is that still the case? I really wanted to see some mad max reviews before ordering, and they don't drop until later that night.

I guess... That would require an in-store pickup order huh? My store is kinda far and I work odd hours. But you're right that's the price u pay for the $10 cert.

Just do a preorder for store pickup online and don't pick it up if you don't like what the reviews are. It looks super good
 
If I pre-order Mad Max, do I still get the Ripper, an additional fully upgradeable Magnum Opus car body? I do not see it on the Best Buy product page.

I picked it up yesterday, can't wait to play it. Last month I said it would be my GOTY and it looks like it really is going to be. Going to start on it Monday.

September is going to be ridiculous. Mad Max, MGS, Until Dawn, & I also got :ps4: One Piece from GS. Plus I have my Madden, Gears, & 2K.
