Thanks for this. The website does list it as giving me 500 points. So I guess it must have worked. It's gotten kinda hard to go on there an try and track everything at this point. I do still have some certificates I can issue, so perhaps everything is up and up. I appreciate the info.

 
Did anyone figure out how to get the emerald packs? I had a bunch of packs but none were emerald. Just got a bunch of bronze players.

Not all copies have a sticker on the case that says "early tip-off edition." I'm not sure if the ones that don't include the bonus VC and my team packs inside.
 
Earlier, the special edition was available today at my local bestbuy online now its no longer saying that. I'm guessing I could've ordered 1 for store pickup because they had extras or something. All of the best buy stores near me said that its only for pre orders
 
I opened my non early tip off edition not knowing there should be a sticker on it. Do you think I could still return it for the early tip off edition since it was best buys screw up?
 
I opened my non tipoff edition as well, but don't feel like going back for an exchange and risking losing the $10 preorder bonus.

VC can wait.  I really only play online games anyways so no biggie

 
There probably isn't an early tip off jordan edition and there's actually a pre order bonus supposed to be emailed or printed on receipt?
 
What's the early tip off code suppose to give you again?

Is it essentially the pre-order bonus Best Buy advertised?
 
I opened up a ps4 version that had a QR code for it, I don't think I saw one in xbox version. Or maybe they will email codes when the game officially launches.

It's the same as last year, they fixed the ridic pace issue where you couldn't catch up to super fast players... but now pace is irrelevant so even the slowest player will catch up to you... so basically they went overboard... All in all FIFA 16 is good, but so was last years game... so... not much to brag about.

You might have that backwards, I've only seen QR codes for DLC in Xbox One games.
 
sucks tony hawk isn't on the list. has anyone herd anything? this one crept up on me. From the videos the graphics look pretty simplistic but it's all about the gameplay.

I found out later that the cards with dynamic ratings are the emerald cards. They should have a green background. They didn't make them totally different like last year's cards. Basically those crappy cards you got (at least mine were) are it.

For pre-order bonuses, the general rule of thumb is that emailed bonuses will be separate in your cart. If only the game was in your cart, then you will not be receiving a pre-order bonus in email as it should be included w/ the game itself.

 
Does anyone elses BBY have a crazy supply of Watch Dogs limited editions on display? One store had 8 for sale and the 2nd store had 6 on the floor.

I was late on preordering as well so I ended up going to the game section and picking up one of the preorder cards that were on the floor and brought it up to the register and asked them to sell it to me. They scanned the barcode on the card and it rang up for $59.99 but it was a different SKU than the actual game. The guy at the register told me I would have to go over to customer service, so I did. I explained to customer service what I wanted to do and they went ahead and gave me the game with GCU and took the $10 off the price of that making it $37.99.

Of course this is all YMMV but I think they went ahead and honored it since the preorder cards were still on the floor.

 
So I was hoping maybe someone knowledgeable could explain something to me about GCU. I went into my local best buy today and tried to pre-order Halo 5 but the discount wasn't showing up. The associate knew what GCU was and tried everything he could to make it show. He pulled up my account by phone number and also by my membership ID number. I don't know why it won't work in store since it works online when I add the game to my cart and come to the final checkout screen...

GCU is only valid when purchasing a game, it doesnt work on an in store preorder until you go actually pick the game up.

If you don't try to pay off the balance and just put down $5, $10, etc. you can still preorder in store and GCU will be taken off the final total when you pick the game up on release.

Just make sure they credit you for the money you put down when you pick it up by using the preorder receipt.

It's probably easier to order it online with in store pick up and avoid the hassle.

Thank you. Yeah, that's what I figured. I told them I'll just order it online and pick it up on release. Shame though, because I had a coupon that worked with GCU for save $5 on a game priced $29.99 or more. It's in store only, so I figured I'd save a little extra on my preorder but I guess it's not worth the hassle lol

People thought the same thing last year, and then we got a whole new batch of games on the list.

My bet is they keep it going... They already have the Division and Battleborn on the list. Past those earlier 2016 releases, there aren't many confirmed release dates yet for anything else notable.
